I wouldn't really know anything about these, but I like the set.

so, this looks neat...but whats with all the logos? i even see an M&C toy logo (The powerteam guys) in images. is this based on that M&C animated series?

Personally I'm not at all into the Chinese figures that companies like DAM, Soldier Story & Flagset are recently churning out to satisfy the Far East market.  That has nothing to do with China at all. I just think the collecting community has been clamoring for other military figures, such as Canadian, Polish, Dutch as well as Russian/Eastern European soldiers for a very long time, and has been ignored by the manufacturers who just go the safe way with what they believe will sell.  I'm sure these are most coveted in the Eastern market for sure...

From a purely practical perspective, I wonder how the typical military-age female in China could carry this kind of load, considering their average height & weight (5', 2 1/2" +/- 1", 126# - data from https://www.disabled-world.com/calculators-charts/height-chart.php).  The figure itself looks like it's about to fall from the weight of the combat load.

Needless to say, easy pass for me.

I think you make a good point about the market trends in the choices of military figures we see these days. But then again, I suppose a market's a market. I do not collect modern military, but I do enjoy seeing them in all their promotional glory or when people put together squads and scenes, etc. Here I like the more realistic, yet pretty sculpt and of course the tons of details (which are usual for these sets). But every time I see UN-themed sets, I can't help but be reminded of this:

Not bad,

I would more have expected to see her hair in a tight bun though, not sure they'd allow her to wear it loose like that.
