Audrey Hepburn Holly Golightly sixth scale figure review

Time for one of those slightly controversial reviews tonight. I'm checking out Star Ace's new Audrey Hepburn, as seen in the film Breakfast at Tiffany's where she portrayed Holly Golightly. This is a portrait that is much, much better than other recent releases from them, including Artemisia and Marilyn Monroe. Unfortunately, I still have an issue with her neck...and with the price tag. I think people have a sour opinion on Star Ace right now though, and many won't give this sculpt its due because of it. The figure has a couple other issues holding it back, but the portrait isn't one of them.  You can find my full review here:

or with the rest of the reviews at the usual:

Thanks for reading!

Thanks for posting, Michael. A fair and accurate review. I bought this figure after canceling Furiosa from Timewalker, based on Steve's recommendation. As long as you remember it's not HT, and it is Star Ace, it is actually a pretty decent figure for them. I'm looking forward to getting the younger version of her in the Roman Holiday figure. I wish more companies would do these classic film stars.

It looks pretty good. needs a tbleague body though. I like the work on the eyes and face.

It isn't bad, though you do get a slight Lady Penelope vibe from it thanks to the choice of body. If another body could be chosen then it might be turned around.

CHEERS!

It’s a decent figure and opens the 1/6 realm to crossover potential with art doll collectors, fashion doll collectors and film buffs. I’m surprised more attempts like this aren’t made by 1/6 manufacturers. I’m in several vintage film groups, and AH has a massive fan base with new generations too. People in these groups might be aware of the likes of Tonner but not this. If the manufacturers targeted the correct audience outside their normal channels, they could probably sell out another run.

Thanks for the review, it has made me deeply consider purchasing her! It almost makes me wish I didn't stumble upon this thread, haha. Hepburn, Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers are my all-time classic Hollywood wants.
