LOL. Well, the cat tree is perhaps a tad too elaborate for an everyday decor, but it is probably the least restrictive cat-related product they have created. Also, it possibly does make sense as a place to display all their different cats, in all sorts of often not particularly useful poses. Speaking of which, the contrite cat pose has got to take the cake of those -- they might as well sculpt a cat trying to fly -- almost. There are similar but more natural poses they could have done. But anyway.

The problem I have with the cat tree: no carpeted padding? What the hell?

Oh yes, good point. I was too focused on the rope/string-covered poles and overlooked the absence of shaggy carpet on the horizontal surfaces.

Exactly!   What cat would want to want to scratch/climb/sleep on this?!?  Too bad, because It’s a nice design outside of that.

Well, cats do enjoy a higher vantage point (and feeling superior in general), so they might go for it anyway, but I bet the shaggy carpet would be a plus in their book too.

Oh, cool…I didn’t notice the working lights before. That’s a really nice feature.

(As I’m writing this, I’m lying on the couch with one cat at my feet, the other cat near my head, and the cat tree about two feet behind me. )
