Pretty cool. I wonder if the horse experts among us can confirm whether the anatomy and posture make good sense.

Mr.Z is getting really good at making horses. These are really realistic, and the canter gait is accurate. There is only one downside, as Mongolian horses are small, coarse, and a little homely, they don't really work for anything else but Mongols. I can't see a military or western figure on one of these, maybe it would make a good Indian pony?

the paint would maybe do a native American pony

Oh these are great! I agree with Jean Ross though, they’d have pretty limited use for anything other than Mongolian figures or fantasy themed. Mongolian horses are very distinctive as they’re one of the oldest breeds on the planet and exhibit more ‘primitive’ features than other breeds, so they wouldn’t pass as anything else without significant work. Overall though they’re really nicely done and the open mouth gives so much dynamic movement, though having an actual bit on the bridle would look much better.

I suppose they might work for some Huns and Turks and even some (not all) of the Chinese that imported them, but still a fairly specific thing.
