This might be considered 'off topic' but I thought some of you might find it interesting.
I have decided that I would like to build a model wagon or even a gypsy caravan for my figures so after mooching around the web I came across the Guild of Model Wheelwrights who were having an exhibition about 60 miles from me.
At the exhibition I explained to them that I wanted to build a wagon in 1/6th scale and asked for advice and I cannot compliment them enough the gentlemen , and they were gentlemen in every respect, were most accommodating and willing to explain their craft.
The organisation has a vast number of plans for various wooden horse drawn vehicles and to be honest even if they are not in our scale it wouldn't take much to scale them up. They are also an international organisation with members in New Zealand, Canada and the US as well as in the UK
I'm tempted with a Prairie Schooner but as it is I'm only really going to be able to afford 1 horse
The craftsmanship of some of their models was outstanding as you can see if you investigate their site.
