Star Wars Hoth Rebel Trooper (updated)

Y'know, with some ribbon and hockey tape you can make some pretty convincing Hoth boots.

I did these in 1/12.

Nice, the hasbro vest and pants are completely useable but the shirt is not that great, you could remove the cuffs since they aren't really part of the shirt but then the sleeves will be much shorter which is the curse of hasbro clothing, specially of the 80's when they used the huge buff bodies with the short arms. Boot's wise I prefer the hasbro ones.

I agree. I have wondered if perhaps the cuffs could be opened up to extend the sleeves lower, whether it is movie accurate or not. But, yes, it is a common issue with the bodies and outfits they used, still in the 90s. Some weathering would probably make the Hasbro boots really shine -- you know what I mean.

Very cool! And a figure I have actually not made lol (you'll need to see my SW collection to understand). I bet he'd sell his sole for a pair of gloves though!! I haven't been to Hoth but I have lived and rode through a Norwegian winter! The winds can flash freeze you, bloody painful!!

Thank you very much. I find this almost surprising. Is it just that you have not ventured specifically into those scenes (yet)? I'm not sure selling his sole would help, but his soul maybe. Yes, every time I see these images, I remember about the gloves. I haven't found suitable ones just yet, other than maybe the Sideshow ones that come with Luke.

LOL! Knew something looked wrong with that spelling! He'd probably get a hell of a lot more for a boot than his soul! Done loads of Hoth Custom builds but I guess I just used Luke and Han to represent snow Rebels, keep meaning to do Leia too.
As for gloves, any gauntlets will do just paint them white and grey, while adding communicator greebles too. I used grey leather for all the cuffs on my gauntlets.

Yep, still working on getting them all proper gloves. There wouldn't be more than 2-3 anyway, as canon fodder for my snowtroopers. At this point I just have to remember to keep an eye out.
