Way too small to be advertised as 1/6 — but, whatever...

Certainly does look more like 1/12.

I love them. But yes, looks too small for 1:6 to me, unless indeed they are this size in China -- if you look at the posted sheets, they are all Chinese.

No, scale is perfect.  I think people are confusing what this actually is -- the kind of dumpster you'd see in an alley behind a bar (http://www.gorillabins.ca/blog/when-are-cheap-dumpster-rentals-better-than-junk-removal/) with something totally different, ie those construction site containers that would be carried by a truck or train  (https://www.wm.com/ca/en/dumpster-rental).

I kind of question the choice of all Asian stickers though.  I realize it's probably made for the Asian market, and maybe they're not expecting to see a lot of purchases from North America or Europe.  But even so, I suspect it's more likely to be displayed representing Gotham, or Sin City, with Batman or Spider-Man or some NY CSIs, than it is some Honk Kong street scene.

That does occur to me, and again, there may be additional variation in size due to this being obviously Asian-themed. As for the all Asian stickers, it would be the most basic of custom jobs to design and print replacement stickers of one's own.

The high level of dirt / weathering makes it less than easy to replace the stickers, but sure it can be done.

Googling Dumpster images gives me mostly images of dumpsters this size, even in North America.  I never knew that technically "Dumpster" is a brand name.  There are so many idioms that we could use this to represent in 1/6:  like "dumpster diving," or something being a "dumpster fire."  Then there is this:  https://www.amazon.com/100-Soft-Dumpster-Vinyl-Figure/dp/B08B12S2N5/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=dumpster+fire&qid=1602865555&sr=8-2

Nope, not confusing it. In the the LA area, typical dumpsters certainly aren't below waist high. I'm short so the lower part where you open the lid is typically shoulder height for me.

It is looking perfect for 1:12 SH Figuarts or similar.

Good to store all those accessories haha. I'm not sure i have need of a trash can in my collection though. I agree the chinese signage is a bit to specific for most uses and would require some customization. However, at that point, may as well build your own trash can. Would be a fun project.

The smallest dumpster of this style is called a "one-yard" dumpster. It is one yard by one yard by two yards, but there are larger versions. The above is pretty close to a one-yard dumpster in 1:6 scale. It would be appropriate for any scale ranging from 1:6 to 1:12.

Thanks for the info! I guess I only ever see the bigger ones. Very Happy

Thanks, that is helpful. I think in 1/6 it's perfectly credible but represents the smallest of its IRL kind. In 1/12 I think it's probably too big. A 1/12 dumpster of this same size would be flat top and side opening, rather than this flip lid design which is meant for a person (not just a garbage truck arm) to be able to flip open. Judging by the pic with the Dam GK figure, the top would be about eye level to a 1/12 figure, who couldn't actually operate the lid. Still, it might still be "close enough for jazz" even in a 1/12 display.

Found this. They look great and are closer in size to use in the 1/6 scale. The price is another story.

Good find.  Turns out "Dumpsty" is a thing with its own website https://dumpsty.com/ and "available in Raw Steel, Fresh Painted colors, artists Wrapped Editions, and special Limited Edition colors. We can even customize Dumpsty in your choice of colors and designs."  Not any cheaper though -- I was hoping this was going to be one of those "crazy expensive from a private seller on Amazon, but cheaper elsewhere" things, but no such luck.  And in fairness to TWToys, their weathering is far superior to Dumpsty.

Everybody should go to your provided link on Amazon and download the 7th .jpg though.  It reproduces 10 street signs, and as such, it is a convenient "printable" in itself (and any buyers of the TWToys dumpster may want to use same to "North-Americanize or Europe-ize" their dumpsters).

Just grabbed it. Thanks for the tip. I'm always looking for printables like this. I like the Dumpsty dumpsters but think they are way overpriced.

That’s a great find, but $200 for a dumpster is a bit excessive... thankfully, I don’t have a need for one anyway. Though I’ll bet ReverendSpooky might find a use for one.

Man, you know me all too well. Saw the dumpsty link on there the other day, and immediately grabbed one. Arrived today and worth every penny. Soon as I have some time I'll get some pics. You were right, absolutely needed it.
