Wow, I regret getting the OWK Vader.

Cooler battle damage, a removable helmet, sculpted cape, and, most importantly, a nylon suit instead of pleather.

Maybe I'll try selling off my OWK Vader when this nears release.

This thing looks pretty wicked cool. Won’t be cheap, I’m sure… just like Grevious.

I like it very much too. Depending on the price I will order it.

Wow! This looks fantastic! I don't care to have this version of Vader in my collection, but that head could be used for all sorts of awesome creations - not that one would want to separate it from the rest of this release. But beautifully done!

I have a question for people living in the United States.
At the beginning of the "Star Wars" films, which was called in France at the time "La guerre des etoiles" (There is already a lack of translations, because we put "stars" in plurals and it's "war" in the title in English), this character had been called "Dark Vador".
In the USA is he still called "Darth Vader", or has he been renamed over the years?
Did you know "Dark Vador", or is this the first time you heard his name?

In France he was called "Dark Vador". So it also changed its name in the USA. So it's not a translation problem, but a rewriting of the scenario

It was always Darth Vader in the original English. Sometimes in foreign languages such names were altered, which is why it is Dark Vador in French. Similarly, Chewbacca was Chiquetaba in French. The only reason I know is that my parents used to get me the French Pif children's magazine and I used to look at all the Kenner Star Wars advertisements with the French character names in them. It was later that I found out the real names.

As for the figure, I like this a lot, although I have not seen the source (videogame?). And I also think it is more fun than the Kenobi version that seems to have inspired it. The battle damage is more extensive and cooler, and the fully revealed scarred head with the movable eyes is excellent. Being a conservative sort stuck in the Original Trilogy, I have no attachment to this, but I appreciate it visually.

Sorry, I'm pretty bad at English, I understood the opposite. This is the second time this has happened to me.

HT has officially jumped the shark.

$375 for the standard edition
$430 for the Deluxe 
$430 for the Deluxe Exclusive (to Sideshow) (the one that comes with the half mask).

Yeah, a whole $100 over the OWK Deluxe Vader...though I don't think it's that bad since this one does come with much more stuff.

I ordered one. I do find it kinda absurd that they're locking this exclusive half-mask behind a 21-day preorder window.

What I'll do with my OWK Vader I have no idea. It'll probably be impossible to sell now, as this release is a direct upgrade in practically every way.

I think at that price I'm out.
I have the same problem with the OWK, especially since it only arrived 1-2 weeks ago.

This is an extrapolation from one data point, but there may be other people who prefer the look of OWK figure.
And I'm talking about the look, not source material (which I regret watching).

There is something in the look of this figure that crosses the line between rule of cool and body horror (which is probably intentional, but I don't like it).
