Have you looked on Shapeways for printable scale models? -- although given the size, I rather doubt they will have those for sixth scale (moreover, depending on the source material used they may be correct or incorrect).
Thanks

GubernatorFan wrote:Speaking of Lucas' revisions, when I was looking up some details for the review, I came across a series of essays on the Star Wars original trilogy (both the actual films and their drafts and deleted scenes). It might make some interesting reading considering all the changes (good or bad) that were applied to the original vision and how many discarded details ended up getting recycled, so I am sharing the links below. The writing could be a lot better, but bear in mind it was quickly translated from the original German (not by me).

Episode IV: Star Wars/A New Hope HERE
Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back HERE

Thanks. Although I think our attempts to help might be futile.
And haha, just now realized the trooper is the guy on your avatar. When I looked for the pic i stumbled upon his Wookieepedia entry. Like every character who was on screen longer than one second he has an expansive back story.

But the real reason I posted this is because I was suspecting that our friend with the beautiful looking name bpvxvqd might be a droid. Or some next generation information gathering AI. Of course bpvxvqd could easily prove us otherwise with other response lines

There's that too, but I just appreciated your willingness (and ability) to help, by posting the link to the 3D blueprints.

And that ("droid") did cross my mind, but if you scroll back there was enough variety ("is there any more" and the posting of images by the beautifully-named bpvxvqd) to suggest this is a person -- although perhaps there is a language barrier and the re-pasting of standard translated text. Anyway, I did get your reference. Smile

Take a good look at the actual review, on the first page of this thread. Especially the fourth photo. I do not know what their actual function is (or is supposed to be). They are silverish "greeblies" (detail elements) added to make the throne look more high-tech. Although there is not a good photo showing it, it appears that the 3D model at the link already provided by Ovy a few posts above includes this detail. So if you are going to do a 3D print, downloading and using that 3D model should take care of this detail.

I found some information here, but no illustrations
https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Imperial_throne

On its armrests are control control panels keys for enabling communications to Imperial officers, as well as the activation of a personal shield generator and a Royal Guard summoner.
, as well as light-beam secure communication links to allow the Emperor to summon various personnel aboard the battlestation, including his advisors, Darth Vader, the Death Star's commander, or members of the Imperial Guard.

The Emperor's chair was mechanized so that it could rotate when the scene called for it. However, the mechanism never worked properly, so Ian McDiarmid had to make it move by shuffling his feet. A piece of tape on the floor told him when to stop so it would not be visible to the camera.

Ha! I always enjoy finding out the behind the scenes issues that happen. Poor guy, that must have been a pain in the butt, but it worked. Now I’m going to have to watch that scene again to see if I can spot him doing it.

Yes, I remember this one, although I can honestly say I have never spotted it on film. He did a good job with it, obviously.

Emperor Palpatine's chair sculpted in polystyrene by Keith Shortrotj - Hot Toys Star Wars Emperor Palpatine (Deluxe) Review - Page 5 4-jpg

I find it interesting that at some point somebody changed the leather pattern on the chair so the back matched the seat, instead of having contrasting strips like in Joe Johnston's sketch and the initial sculpture.
They also carried the padding up to the very top of the chair, whereas in the sculpture there was a dark void that framed the crown of the Emperor's head, rather like an anti-halo. Was that meant to have a glowing panel installed at one point like in the Johnston sketch? I can see how that might make lighting his face difficult on set.rotj - Hot Toys Star Wars Emperor Palpatine (Deluxe) Review - Page 5 Excv6tcxaamioab-jpg
