Hmmm, competition with Present Toys over Doc? Doc's headsculpt is remarkably good, a great likeness and realistic treatment. I'm trying to spot the difference from the Present Toys one, apart from the skin tone. The Marshal's on the other hand, looks a bit more cartoonish/abstract. Of course, this type of mustache would do that to a real 1:1 man, but anyway.

I passed on all the previous versions from Redman (and, of course, the custom figures that cost an arm and a leg that these are taken from), so I might actually get these (not sure which Doc -- I have other Redman figures, and they're not bad). I do like that Doc 2 comes with his tin cup, sort of wish they'd just release all the stuff into one Deluxe edition instead of making one buy two figures to get all the stuff. I agree, Wyatt doesn't look nearly as good, but it would seem weird to me to just have Doc. Now to decide which version (and company) of Doc to get -- might just get all three Docs just to make additional figures with whatever stuff is left over. (I really want to delve into the Western theme with a bunch of side characters to be able to shoot some photo stories).

So I'm guessing both Doc Holiday sculpts are knock-offs of Rainman's sculpt?

That’s pretty much been the consensus.

Well, I went completely nuts and POd all three of these and the Present Toys DH — hopefully at least one of them has a great sculpt, and I can combine elements from each to make my definitive Val Doc, and use the remainder to make other characters.

That is a little nuts, but who can complain about three Val Kilmers!? I'm sure you'll end up with a bunch of great western characters.

It does seem like a great opportunity to get some outfits and accessories for your western figures, so it's understandable.

Good stuff Stryker! Definitely great for western gear. Can't wait to see your definitive version of Doc!
