The friendly neighborhood super hero has continued to share new looks in multiple movie appearances, and got fans amazed with his upgraded gadgets. Not feeling this one. Looks more like Black Panther Spider-man. Seems even more weird after writing it. Pass.

Figure looks decent, but still not sure about the design. Will need to watch movie to decide, but the gold and black with red forearms looks weird to me.

Boy howdy, six Hot Toys announcements all at the same time, and here's the creative measure of originality involved: (1) Iron Man Mark 1 again, (2) another Iron Man armor but in Deadpool colours, (3) another Iron Man Armor but with Dr. Strange’s existing head, (4) Black Widow again with tweaks, (5) Boba Fett again with tweaks, (6) and a Spider-Man repeat but different color scheme.

It's almost as if HT might be hurting financially from the Covid-19 period or whatever, and looking for a massive cash injection out of a near-complete re-use of existing materials. Almost like that.

I am entirely with you guys above as to not getting overly excited by the color scheme, but surely I need to see it in context; and as csyeung says it may feel different after I see it in the actual movie if the scene makes some emotional connection. Even so it will be kind of weird because my first thought when it comes onscreen will not be surprise but, Oh there's that Hot Toys figure. That's the reality nowdays. At least this one is something from an actual MCU movie and not, like Iron Strange, one unused production sketch from the Art of Avengers Endgame art book.

Everything about this seems weird and off. I’m actually really surprised they revealed this before the movie (or did I miss something…?)

Yeah, like MBAM notes, there is a tiresome lack of originality as to the choice of characters, and sometimes this extends even to the choice of versions they are choosing to reproduce. I realize I'm not exactly their target audience, but I'm over-saturated with Spider-Men.

I think that the weird colour scheme etc is part of the plot of the film:

I think that this is the black/red suit from the last film with the red layers removed with some magic runes and wrist device curtesy of Doctor Strange added.

This will probably serve as a tether for Spidey to return to his universe.....


The integrated suit will have the Iron Spider suit attach to the black/red suit (integrating magic and nanotech). All this likely serves to make Spidey visually distinctive for plot purposes and toy sales

What an eyesore! No amount of plot and justification would make me like that design.
But damn that laser-shooting vambrace looks awesome and i want two!

Yeah... this is one fugly suit... as somebody mentioned, it looks more Black Panther than Spider Man.
