That's definitely a continuity error. In the "Kimono Troop Command" version of the near-future world, there is now a king in the UK. Most BAMComix stories are set in an approximation of "modern day," hence queen. I don't recall that the contributors to Hidden in the Shadows have had a discussion specific to that detail. Your observant comment offers an opportunity to find consensus on that point. Thanks for reading so carefully. None of the rest of us (all five) noticed that discrepancy!

Frankly, it is impressive that there is so little in the way of continuity errors in stories put together from so many different sources. As for the ankh, I think I remembered something about it being in the original set -- but I bet your explanation would be more compelling.
