Hot Toys recently announced their new Back to the Future pre-orders, and have already shipped their Marty with Einstein. Of course, since it's 90% a re-issue of their old Marty, the speedy turnaround is no real surprise, and we'll be waiting more than a year for the rest. You can find my review here:

or with the rest of the reviews at the usual:

Thanks for reading!

Thank you for the review and photos. Great coverage, as always. Isn't this actually their third Marty?

Yes. And no. Hehe. This is the 2nd Marty from the 1st movie, but there is also the 4th coming from the 3rd movie, since the technically 2nd Marty was from the 2nd movie. So yes, this is the 3rd Marty released, but from the 1st movie. I hope I made that as confusing as possible.

Not at all, I sorta expected that to be the case -- that HT's second Marty was from a different movie, and this is the second one from the same movie as the first. But wasn't sure. Thanks for explaining.

Yea, from the first paragraph -

A few years back, when Hot Toys was still regularly doing licenses outside of Marvel and Star Wars, they produced several for the classic Back to the Future movies. They made some very weird choices, producing a Delorean from part 1, a Marty from part one, but then a Doc and Marty from part 2, and no Doc from the first film. So while part 2 is arguably the weakest of the three films, we got a Marty and Doc that go together, but don't go with the Delorean, and a Marty that goes with the Delorean, but not with any Doc Brown.
