Is this Emma Watson? I only ask because it resembles the GAC Emma Watson sculpt.

It’s a very nice sculpt, but nothing extraordinary, and by extraordinary, I don’t mean weird. What I feel like we’re really lacking in female sculpts is attitude. I’d like to see some sneers; some arrogant grins, some wry smiles; something that says “You’re about to find out that I’m your worst nightmare!”.

I believe so Xavion and I agree what you say about different expressions. However, I think if they are going for a specific likeness to be more marketable, it can be trickier as sometimes expressions can throw it off.

Looks like Emma Watson to me. I like the headsculpt except for the goofy smile.

Oh, I agree.  If you’re going for a specific likeness, you have to try to capture that character/actor’s personally.  I was just making a comment about sculpts in general, not this one in particular.  For what it’s intended to be, it’s nicely done.

This reminds me that I want to get that black dress set. I like really like the original sculpt it comes with.

Overly specific expressions definitely get in the way. On the other hand, overly bland ones are not very inspiring. So it is a question of balance, I suppose.

I think its my first time to see nicely painted freckles on a mass-produced headsculpt.
It looks like Emma but something's off.
I still prefer the more mature-looking JXtoys JT002 version.

Have no use for yet another friendly face, but I do think this is gorgeous for what it is.

I personally prefer sculpts that are not recognizable, but those usually end up anime or bland.
So I would welcome sculpts that are based on specific people, but then with an unrecognizable expression. Like mixing two or three together.

I like this head, even though it is a little off. It is far better than the old sculpt from Modular Arts and the derivatives, which had all slightly misaligned eyes. Due to the "real" hair, it also more versatile than the HT sculpt with its sculpted hair. I don't have a particular project in mind, but I think I will get it.

BTW There was also a recent GAC Toys sculpt of Emma Watson, which somewhat flew under my radar. Has anybody seen actual in-hand pictures of this sculpt?

Not a fan of her, so wouldn't get it myself, but since it's VC I'm sure it will at least be nicely made.

I like this head and little smile. But I think I don't need another head of "pretty looking young woman" for now

I was not aware that GAC Toys had also released a version with doll hair. I was refering to the GC040, which supposedly had sculpted hair. A quick google search actually revealed an in-hand picture that I had not seen before ...



This seems to be the very same head (with the signature smirk) that was marketed before by other companies, just with a sculpted bun instead of the pony tail of the initial release.

There is also a short-haired version somewhere, that's come up before as a possible fit for some of TBLeague's petite bodies (but not the smallest).

This was just shipped to me so I'll show in hand pics when it arrives.

The head is very close to the prototype. The resemblance to Emma Watson is clearly there, but not fully convincing. The paintjob is very clean, however the skin texture could still be improved. In sum, a nice head sculpt (typical VC quality).

Wow! I think she looks fantastic! Not completely like the actress, which to me is a good thing, because I prefer head sculpts free of associations.

looks nice!!! What size is the head? Have you used it on any body in particular? if I remember correctly verycool heads were small

Yes this head is a bit on the smaller size. I put it on a s25b and I think that works the best for it. It may look slightly small for a larger body. Even on a poptoys body it looks a bit small.

I find some angles look more like Emma Watson than others, particularly slightly downshots and 3/4 shots. I also think it looks more like Emma when her hair is up. She often has a tied up hair look or short hair.

One of the rare times where the production figure is clearly better than the promotional images.

A quick in hand turnaround as well. Pics in vid are same as above, just less.
