Honestly that price is a real bargain! It isn't a bad figure at all, just not todays standard. For Mondo's first proper 1:6 figure it is great. Compared to most company's first offerings it is not bad at all. Their God Of War Kratos is apparently very good as is the Creature from the Black Lagoon

Their Creature is a really cool figure — too bad they didn’t do more of the classic Universal Monsters (it’s also my understanding that the guy who was obsessed with the Creature is no longer with the company).

MONDO’s 1:6 HALF-LIFE 2 Gordon Freeman figure is an example of where the production design and quality does not equal the MSRP.

To be blunt, the figure could have been better received price wise at $129.99 to $149.99 instead of $199.99; however, given the price fickleness of 1:6 collectors criticisms would still occur.

The clearance pricing is very well within reason and those procuring one (or more) benefit.

If a version designed and produced by HOT TOYS came forth, then the usual bandwagon of zealots would flock to it without any reservation even if it had the same design drawbacks as MONDO’s.

Too bad a proper 1:6 figure of Alyx is not offered. She would ideally complement Gordon.
