Fake Sweat look on hair and body, any ideas how?

I was wondering if anyone knows a way to emulate a fake Sweat/wet look on semi permanent basis, something that I can apply to hair and the body to give the wet look but can remove later.

Tried Googling this and found this article, for FX makeup artists:
https://www.denofgeek.com/movies/how-do-make-up-artists-create-sweat-in-the-movies/

Which looks like using a glycine / water mix in a spray bottle.
I might try to experiment with this, but this looks to be a temporary solution.

Clear acrylic.

Clear acrylic.

I think I have a can of Mr. Hobby Top coat I use for my Models. Now to find a test Silicon body I can test with to see how removable it is. I wish I was in this hobby long enough to have some ruined bodies.

Also a common trick in the Scale model world is to use Pledge (Future) Floor Wax to seal, this might work as well now that you brought up Acrylic.

No.

Clear acrylic paint. Dilute and sparingly apply with thin paintbrush for desired appearance/effect.

You are probably right, I need to take a trip the to store to get some as I can't control the ratio in Mr Hobby cans and spray control would be awful. Sigh, I usually buy spray can version as I'm usually too lazy to setup an airbrush for sealing.

"Laziness" ruined many 1:6 projects among 1:6 collectors regardless of them admitting to it or not.

Don't believe me?

Feel free to experience it and learn the hard way like many others.

Airbrush works for some, but is highly dependent on the skill and specific airbrush (with applicable nozzle) used.

Kitsune, you want removable but potentially lasting sweat? Sensible but tricky. While it would be limited to a specific photoshoot and might require drying and re-powdering if you are using seamless bodies, why not simply apply some water? Works pretty well. And not difficult to remove, whether you wipe it or just let it dry. See various photos here -- sorry, photo heavy:

I know ReverendSpooky used something to make his 1/6 figures sort of 'glisten' with 'sweat' in his 'Last Days of Summer' photoshoot:

Ignoring current 'official' Star Wars content for my own sanity.

He consensually stole this idea from me ( :p ), after I showed him artsy nudes I haven't posted here. It's just water from a regular water spray dispenser thingy. If you experiment with distance you can have very fine, very tiny (from 0,1mm) drops which can also be turned into larger surfaces with cloth, leather etc. Those pics are harmless, I can link forum friendly versions if there is interest. Or really wouldn't use something you have to wash off if it's only photos one wants to make.

Water + Glycerol is a good way to do that for a semi permanent basis. And you can wash it clean afterwards if you don't want the wet look anymore.

Thanks all for the suggestions,

I got a cheaper POP toys semi seamless body incoming which I can experiment on.

I think I'll try first the Glycerol/Water mix out of curiosity on how long this work till it dries. Then try the Acrylic clear coats via airbrush. I know alcohol usually works to remove most Acrylic paints but may damage other details so I'll avoid head sculpts for now and try on the body.
