Thank you for the detailed review, as always. My acquaintance with Harry Potter films is at best passing, but I thought that, while hardly perfect, the likeness was instantly recognizable -- for the actress perhaps more so than for the character. But you are an expert in this, and any imperfections are more likely to stand out to you. As usual with sets from this franchise, I picked up some parted out pieces for customs, including the head -- which is one of a very few head sculpts of a woman of a certain age in our scale. I love the chair (although I did not get it) and many of the accessories.

I overlooked this figure when announced, although I usually do for the Harry Potter line, but you're informative reviews are always a pleasure to read, and on this occasion to discover that the desk and many of the accessories can be bought as a separate set, and these I am interested in (even if the desk does look a little plain to me). I'll be placing my first order with the Star Ace online store for this which seems my best bet as a UK buyer (hope that's not a mistake; I've no idea what their service is like).

I'm actually contemplating getting the Deluxe for all the cool accessories, and of course, it's nice to see an older female for a freaking change. I actually think, as JYMachine pointed out, that the sculpt is a pretty good likeness of Maggie Smith, but of course, Star Disgraces crap paint apps bring it down a level. A full repaint would probably do wonders for this.
