Nice backdrops - update February 3rd

Meanwhile, I have established a backdrop system in 90x60 cm on the bookshelf. The back wall and the floor can be changed separately. My backdrop collection contains about 40 different backdrops.
The only disadvantage of this technique is that sometimes the floor is a little bit wavy.

Great pics! You have a very nice collection of funiture for indoor shoots.

Nice set up, that customizable wall really pays.
The waving floor is only noticable when you look for it, but maybe you could print the floors on heavier paper ? Or use wood or metal beams as physical bottom bars between wall and floor.

Is the one in photo #2 that Harry Potter witch with a wig and face app?

Thx for your kind comment. The head sculpt is inspired by Cameron Diaz and yes, it is faceapped to achieve the aspect of a more mature lady.

Very nice permanent set up for doing room dioramas. And great choices of wall and floor surface images. I'm sure there is a way around a wavy floor, but it would require a different attachment solution. The furniture pieces are excellent. I was just going to commend you on your more mature female, but I suppose I should commend you on your command of faceapp. Thanks for sharing.

The pics look fantastic! I’d really recommend anyone into figure photography check out My Froggy Stuff on YouTube - she regularly makes backdrops and collapsible doll rooms from card and foamboard which look really convincing in photos!

The horse backdrop works well..

This cool backdrop is a mix of vinyl (back wall) and photo (floor).

Unfortunately, the photo of a concrete floor is reflecting the light, while the vinyl does not.

Maybe the floor is polished granite rather than concrete. I think the scene worked out very nicely.

Actually, my parents have a polished concrete floor in their house.

You’re exceptionally good at mixing and matching, on your figures, their clothing, your props, and your backdrops. The variety of scenes you’re able to create is very impressive.

Look for 'double sided background board'. There are different vendors on aliexpress. It is made of a kind of thin (wood?) particleboard. One double-sided board (60x60 cm) is about 23 Euros, smaller ones are cheaper.

Wooooooow, I haven't stopped by in a while and had some catching up to do, which was fun! Great shots! I especially enjoyed the shot with Harley and Joker/Ruby.

And the FaceApped Cameron. And I also think the reflective surface for the floor adds an extra dimension to the shots! And is that a Morpheus armchair?

That's an extremely creative use of that ridiculous 'tongue sticking out' headsculpt.  Very clever. And you've even got the guy wearing blue gloves at the scene, lol!

Very cool scene/sequence. Nice to see so many figures interacting at once, all appropriately attired and posed. The blue latex gloves are an awesome touch. And it was fun spotting actor cameos, including Princess Leia.

Very cool story and use of the characters.

Yes you are right. The head sculpt looks weird and the skin is far too red to fit the bodies.

Thx! Nice to hear that from the master of photo stories. In fact, the 'making of a crime TV series' was an older project of mine. I have got a lot of photos showing the film set with cameras, director, sound engineering and so on. Maybe I will show some of them in the section 'photo stories'

I bought the Chinese Avenger Girl because of the cute head sculpt. I tried to replace the body with a seamless body. The 'leather belts' bursted when I removed them, they were glued to the vest. In this case the clothes are cheaply fabricated. At last, I gave in. Nevertheless, it is a nice figure

Very nice CSI photo series! That is an impressive amount of figures in your scene. I especially like how you managed to express emotion by body language.      

Yeah, I forgot to comment on the oufits. You always manage to assemble the right ensembles for the scenario. You must have an extensive collection of 1/6 scale clothing!
