Over the past week i have been checking out what is out there with regards to Leon: The Professional

Options appear to include:

Leon - Enterbay
Leon - Redman Toys
Leon - DJ-Custom
Leon - Artoys

..and nothing from Hot Toys

Leon: The Professional and Mathilda Leon_e11
I found this image which clearly shows the Enterbay Leon is taller than the DJ-Custom Leon

Finding comparison pictures comparing Enterbay to Redman Toys to DJ-Custom etc is difficult.
As the saying goes, i have made a rod for my own back. I like the Enterbay figure the most, but i do not like price. There are pieces available 'used' that are half the price of pieces that are 'new'. Used close to New is fine my me.
Now i need to get saving, which will take months. To add to my woes, the perfect companion pieces is obviously Leno's apprentice Mathilda. From what i can tell, there is some but not much in the way of 1/6th scale Mathilda available. You've guessed it, i have began work on a kitbash of Mathilda. Again, money required. Fingers crossed, by the end of 2022 i will have assembled Leon: The Professional and Mathilda in 1/6th scale figure form.

Thought i'd share Smile

I understand how complicated it can be to coordinate multiple custom figures at once, and it can indeed take some time to be able to collect all the parts. Good luck with these!

Good luck on your quest! I wanted to kitbash Leon and Mathilda fo a long time, but somehow never got past my initial aquisition of the Asmus Girl Crush head for Mathilda. For some reason, the DJ custom release did completely escape my attention...

It's odd... there was a point where there seemed to be TONS of Mathilda heads out there, including several custom projects. Perhaps they were not seen outside of the immediate circles (like FB) where they were made....

Leon is simple enough. Just requires cash. I'd better get saving, as Enterbay makes the most sense.

Mathilda is a whole different beast. I have a head sculpt on the way, i have a plastic (not silicone) Kumik body on the way. The outfit can be purchased online, most of it, as i have yet to spot a black necklace with silver sun style charm. The outfit i have been looking at is by Redman Toys and the problem is, the seller appears to be in the business of breaking down 1/6 figures and selling all the components off at high high prices. A typical Hot Toys figure for $220.00 broken down probably sells for $400.00+ ..i guess anyone can do it if they wanted to. Maybe i should give it a try ;D

For example - the green jacket is up for grabs for $27.00
I have seen black and silver bomber jackets in the same style on ebay for $14.00 ..green seems to be rare?

A crazy seller on picclick.com is offering the complete Mathilda figure by Kumik for $999.00 - Lol!

I managed to obtain a Mathilda head (it is in the post atleast). I think this provided the spark required to get to work on adding Leon and Mathilda to my 1/6 collection.

Mathilda's silver sun necklace is a tough nut to crack. I cannot find anything. I have been pondering the idea of using Fimo to sculpt the sun shape and paint it silver. It could work.

I bought the Enterbay Leon back around 2013(?) for aftermarket prices then (I think I may have paid between $300-350 (don’t remember; it felt like a lot at the time Razz ). I was in on the custom run of Mathilda heads, but was seriously disappointed in the final outcome when it finally showed up nearly two years later. Bought the Star Ace version of Mathilda (2018?), which surprisingly is actually pretty good — despite having sculpted hair. Good luck with your search.

I have not seen the Star Ace portrait. Is it anything like the Asmus Toys or Redman Toys (who appear to offer two versions with out without red hat).

Kumik also offered their take on Mathilda

Sorry, I meant the Asmus Toys version. I keep getting those two mixed up, not sure why. (I swear senility has been kicking in for awhile now).

The Asmus Toys figure is possibly best one available (was available). Looks better than both the Redman Toys and Kumik figures. Also, it appears to have the green coat with the orange inside, unlike the Redman Toys coat which appears to be green on the inside?

This is the look i am going for. Red hat and green jacket. As far as i am aware, Leon ships with the black gun as can be seen in the image.

That would be a good look. Here's my setup in case you're interested. Leon (Enterbay), Mathilda (Asmus), Stansfield (Redman):

Leon: The Professional and Mathilda _dsc3570

I never actually put the hat on Leon (heard too many horror stories about how the hat stained the head sculpt); though I currently have the hat soaking again in a bath of laundry detergent, distilled white vinegar and water. I'll see if it still stains the paper towel as it dries; if it doesn't I may end up finally putting it on him after all.

@Stryker2011 thanks for posting.. your Mathilda looks better than the Redman Toys effort..
Good seeing all three characters together. Stansfield (Gary Oldman) was excellent in Leon. I spotted a Stansfield head sculpt on ebay (unpainted) recently. Stansfield just might be on my radar once Leon and Mathilda are in my collection.

I thought your Mathilda looked on the short side. Then i spotted Leon is on a stand.
From what i can tell, Kumik are the only company to offer a body suitable for a Mathilda kitbash.

I have been looking at green jackets and ordered a Redman Toys green jacket. I have since spotted two better green jackets both with orange inside (which the Redman Toys jacket lacks). One is too expensive as it comes as a complete outfit. The other jacket is low priced. I have no idea how large it is, other than 1/6 scale. In some shots from the movie, i have noticed the green jacket is on the large side. A slightly oversized green jacket might work.

Once i have Leon in my collection, i will display with the hat, as that's my favourite look, even if it messes with the paint on the portrait. I like glass on look. As great as the Enterbay figure is, the eye's could look slightly better. It might be a paint app issue. I have sure there is room for improvement in the hands of the right painter.

Gary Oldman would look great with a cigarette hanging out his mouth Very Happy

The silver sun amulet would be tiny in sixth scale. Making something this fine out of green stuff or clays would be exceedingly difficult, but maybe you have a much higher level of skill than I. Otherwise, short of finding it parted out (and honestly it didn't look that good in the photos I saw -- of the Kumik version anyway), you've got several options:

Option 1: Maybe, just maybe you can find on on eBay or somewhere something that is both similar enough in design and almost appropriately small. There are some tiny ones, but whether or not they would be tiny and similar enough to be good enough, is up to you. Here are a couple of links.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/114061021030

https://www.ebay.com/itm/183757060404

Option 2: find a nice photograph, scale it, print it, put glossy transparent colorless tape over it, and cut it out as carefully as possible.

Option 3: find a silver/chrome sequin of suitable size, etch/scratch the design on it, cut out as closely as possible.

Good luck.

Thanks. I had searched and found nothing. I made the mistake of searching 1/6 scale.
The silver sun in the 1st link looks on the large side.
The silver sun in the 2nd link looks like it could work.

I just searched silver sun earings. Some of those look tiny, which is ideal.

Leon: The Professional and Mathilda S-l16010

Sellers of these products never add a coin to show scale to their product.
This seller atleast has fingers in the photo. Those silver suns look usable, and cost next to nothing.

Leon: The Professional and Mathilda Natali12

4mm or less is probably the size that would work.

You're welcome. I also saw these, but may be too large, although there are options:

Oddly enough the Redman Stansfield was advertised with the cigarette able to hang from his mouth, and it does come with a cigarette, but there isn’t a gap in the lips for it, so it basically becomes a useless accessory unless you put it in between his fingers.

Really?
I guess a small hole could be drilled into his mouth, meaning the cigarette would have to remain there forever. The other option if you did not want to do that would be to pick up a second portrait.

On a side-note, you should consider pulling down the necklace on your Mathilda so that it is lower down, as it appears to sit too high up, under the chin.

That site is indeed a great resource. Some of the weapons I’ve been looking for (for other characters) are hard to find in 1/6th in any consistent fashion if going strictly by that site. (Eg. the Webley No. 5 revolver). The one I have is actually a bit under scale, but it’s the only one I could find 6 years ago when I first used that site as the source for it).

Yes indeed. I wish they had similar reference websites for other items in movies, but except for the occasional in-depth look at costumes, this is probably exceptionally good.

I was looking for a Beretta 92FS
There is only one on ebay located in Australia. Postage isn't worth it. Besides, it does not look that good. Sometimes sellers simply list guns as guns without all the correct name. I assume there is a Beretta 92FS inside Leon's case. I wonder how the Enterbay Beretta 92FS compares to the Redman Toys Beretta 92FS

That’s a good question, but without someone who owns both we may never find out the answer to that.

I assume the Enterbay weapon is probably higher quality (i might be wrong).
Since you own the Enterbay figure, i assume you would know if the case contains a Beretta 92FS and what the quality is like? Smile
