This figure reminds me of the soldiers of Doctor Diablos who appear in the story recently posted by forum member ThePhotogsBlog:

Pretty neat, if not a bit derivative. I like the head sculpt with the scar.

I think the head is loosely inspired by Scott Adkins as Yuri Boyka.

For those who do not know, thats based on the old RTS game "Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2", thats how the Soviet Conscripts in the game look like:

I really like it, kinda dystopic and cool. Glad I do not collect this type of figure, cause it I would totally buy it

It's kinda cool overall. Sadly the soviet logos ruin it a for me. (Not just because of recent events) they limit it's use for kitbash materials.
It does look a bit too plasticy as well. Bit of weathering and it could look great.

I dunno, the Soviet Union is not current Russia and this is clearly based on the Red Alert video game that has a alt-history setting:

Basically, Albert Einstein goes back in time, removes Hitler from the timeline, the Soviet Union becomes the dominant power, until defeated by the Allies, gets a Romanov as a head of state, who then with the help of the PSY Agent Yuri (Played by Udo Kier) to start World War III with the Allies, only for the Soviets to get defeated yet again, but then Yuri takes over the world with mind control machines, so the Allies have to go back in time to stop him. Meanwhile the Soviets do the same, altering the timeline so much that Japan becomes the Empire of Nippon complete with giant Robots in Red Alert 3.

I loved those games. I actually got the entire red alert back catalogue for about £8 on origin a year or so ago. Still fun games, if a little ugly now. I loved the cheesy live action cut scenes. I had completely forgotten that Udo kier was in them. I think he might have been one of, if not the first bigger name actor to feature in a game. Now it's a regular occurance.

I was only joking around about the "Russia issue". Im not gonna blame fictional soviets for modern Kremlin decision making. It's more that I'd only want this for kitbashing, but I'd have to permantly alter the armour to hide the soviet logos, for it to be any use to me. I don't like altering too much, in case I want to sell parts on later. I like the figure overall, but it's not something for my collection, as is.

Looks decent enough. I get Killzone (Playstation) vibes.
