She is one very good looking figure, indeed I'm also very tempted to acquire her.

Knowing Jim Cameron, he's saving a 3 hour director's cut for the Blu Ray. I'm surprised he could get the theatrical release down to 2hrs.
CHEERS!
Hmm... guess I'll have to find time to see this then. LOLStryker2011 wrote:I just got back from seeing this. My impressions as a fan of the Manga — some scenes felt a little rushed, some were eye-roll inducing, and some scenes dragged. Overall, however, I thought they did an impressive job trying to jam two series into one two hour movie. The young lady playing Alita was really good. Too many characters, so not everyone gets developed all that well, but that’s understandable considering the time constraints. The special effects, of course, are impressive. My final thoughts — it was pretty cool, and while I told myself I didn’t really NEED to get this figure, I changed my mind. I will DEFINITELY get this.

When I chatted to Michael Biehn at his hotel before Christmas, we talked about this film...he goes to gym daily with Jim Cameron....he said Cameron had the screenplay for this film in the drawer at the time of Titanic, but he said he was waiting for technology to catch up before he made it!!

Just curious about your opinion on the shoulder articulation, it makes me think of the bandai SHFiguarts double shoulder joints which I hate on figuarts since they are always loose and tricky to place correctly to have a nice result... How are these? Just freely rotating rings?
The small shoulder pieces feel like they are pegged in and solid. They are not free rotating pieces of circular sleeves covering joints. However the hip area where they try to cover the ball jointed legs are free floating sleeves from my examination of the figure.blackpool wrote:quite hard to explain, usually the shoulder articulation is a simple ball joint and swivel on most female figures, but this one seems to have a kinda "butterfly" shoulder joint as they call it for SHFiguarts figures.
It allows more movement and more realistic poses, but on figuarts the little "ring" part that is masking the articulation itself is often loose, turning around free, and not sitting correctly on the articulation, which makes the posing quite tricky... Just wanted to know how is this one, but as you mention it's not loose, the engineering is surely better!

I hate the bare feet ratchets though. I can't have her stand straight as her feet are angled too forward or back. I can't get a proper A stance due to how the feet are designed. Ratcheted knees too so can only do so much. And tilting the ankles are scary feeling as I feel I might break the connector due to its tightness.
