Well, I got an email last week saying the figure was in, and to pay up. So I did, but still haven't gotten a shipping notice?? Hummm

Was this another Ekia order? I'd contact whoever you POd from and inquire. Sometimes, retailers will make you pay if it is on "Imminent Arrival" -- but not actually in stock yet (meaning they expect to get it in in a week or two -- based on information from Distributor). But if they told you it was In Stock, and you paid, they should have sent it already.

Yes, I contacted them. They said they were informed that the orders were ready but that the manufacturer weren't happy with something and pulled back to fix it ??

That’s a good thing, then. Hopefully, especially if it’s a QC issue — or it just didn’t turn out as good as they wanted.

I'm beginning to smell a rat here. I just looked on YouTube and the last review for the figure was 3 weeks ago. If the manufacturer had pulled it they'd be waiting just like you. Personally, I'd cancel the order, get a refund and go somewhere else. It sounds to me like they are making excuses and want to hang onto your money.

I think I'm too late for the first batch, which came with some extras, like a funky stand. I think this is a second batch? I honestly don't know.

It’s not unusual for these things to come in batches. It’s happened quite a bit lately on 1/6 figures (ie, QMX Scotty, Asmus Arwen), statues (Sideshow’s J. Scott Campbell’s Tinkerbell), and others. If you don’t feel comfortable waiting, I’d cancel. But that could just be shipments from manufacturer to distributor to retailer — which may mean if the product is not up to snuff for those that received it already, it could still be the same one you’ll receive later. Would the cost difference between PO and In Stock be any different if you were to cancel? If you wait to see what in-hand pics look like, you might be glad you canceled if it doesn’t turn out as good as you’d like.

Or, as the retailer said, maybe the manufacturer isn’t happy with something (perhaps because of early negative reviews), and decided to fix the issue (Asmus has done this more times than I can remember based on fan comments during prototype stage — very unusual in this day and age for a manufacturer to be that involved with the consumer, but it’s paid off for them big time).

Frankly, I'm so busy lately, I don't even have time to worry, LOL This should work out one way or another
