1/6 custom Spetsnaz Sniper in Syria

I saw this reference photo a while back and realised I just had to try and emulate it as best I could....frustrated myself for missing the deluxe FSB Alpha but then realised had the Operation Red Sea Chinese guy with ATAC uniform haha. Anyhow, not entirely the same, but I am pleased!

Do the clothes restrict his legs from being able to crouch down? He looks good, though.

I like it if people go after real photo shots. I think seeing the miniature in constrast is especially cool for pictures. Nice.
You could have tried to set a similar lighting as in the original. Have you tried a flashlight or desk lamp?

No I haven't but good idea! I'd have to take the diorama off the top shelf haha. It's a full 1/6 Middle Eastern house.

I like the last shot the most, and I agree with the idea of using a lightspot simulating dusty daylight.

Who are the Russians fighting in Syria at the moment? I lost track.

Someone on Facebook did some lighting changes and looks great.

Yes, the irony is that US (and not even the current president!) messed things up in the region, and the Russians are fixing it.

Even if you don't have the exact same pose, your photo captures and relays the essence of the original picture. Very nicely done.

Thank you! Yes, ironically that is true. Things got messed up in that region a long time ago, with the 2 Bs - both the UK and US ones aha, or even before that, abandoning Bin Laden when he led the US funded Mujahadin.

Thank you - I am pleased with it, even if not totally true to the reference..I will do some tweaking,

I like those lighting changes. I think a focus point of the reference picture are his piercing white eyes, which Valiardes idea of using a focused light ray might bring out in a cool way.

And about Syria...well of course I know Russia fought ISIL, but we know it's much more complicated than that with all those numerous factions, changing alliances and interests. But we better leave the sad Geopolitical stuff out of this thread, sorry that I started.
