NEW PRODUCT: VTS TOYS VM-026 Wilderness Rider 1/6 Figure

I’m thinking the same thing about the rooted hair, Stryker. Also wish I could give him a beard... :3

ETA:from the pics, looks like the hat on at least one of the heads is removable...

Re: the console —can’t speak to how Roger plays it, but my husband plays this on his PS4.

I think all the hats are removable as both heads are shown wearing the cowboy hat.
I will get this game on PC when I have the dosh. Red Dead Redemption 1 was never released for the PC for some reason.

RDR2 is on PC, PS4, X-Box One and Stadia. The PC one is the most fun as there are some crazy mods you can do.

Graphically, I think it only really hits its true potential on PC. On a PS4 you're lucky to get up to 30fps and the game is lodged at what would be quite low settings on the PC version. You can take it as far as your hardware will allow on PC. I know someone that spent $6000 on a PC just so they could play it in 4K, they even reckon it could do 8K but that was never confirmed! 1080p will do me!

I missed the PO from a RDR figure (don't remember if it was from the 1st or 2nd game) that was also insane. Pray for me wallets, folks, for KGHobby just grabbed my PO. And I promised myself I wouldn't spend on figures for the next 2 months... >.<"

...nevermind, I just found it. It's Lim Toys Gunslinger... wait, was it cancelled?

I may get mine from OneSixthKit, but only once I've made sure I don't need to spend money on anything else.....

The Lim Toys version isn't cancelled.

In fact they're updating the sculpts:



Plus they said there are a few surprises in store as well.

The figure is being offered for sale again at toyorigin.com, and possibly also at some of the retailers who originally listed it (maybe in an 'under the counter' arrangement).


VTS obviously set out to jump on LIM Toys' work and to confuse potential customers by mimicking Lim's promotional imagery:












Lim are hoping to release him this Summer.

Oh man, I hope I can find the LIM Toys version — I like all the accessories better. If not, I’ll be happy with the VTS version.

Thanks for the reply, Asta. I was worried cuz I've read in different reddit threads stating that the Lim Toys figure was cancelled because Rockstar was after them and I wasn't finding it on any store (aside from ToyOrigin) and feared it could happen to the VTS figure.

They had to go underground because the figure was actually becoming too popular on Facebook and in message boards, and was likely to attract some heat.

Now that VTS has stormed onto the scene in a blatant attempt to steal Lim's thunder, Lim have decided to break cover to get the word out that their version is not only still alive, but is being improved as well.

I've noticed in some of Lim's other projects that they keep working on figures, to make them as good as they can, rather than just settling on making the initial promotional figure.

Oh gosh, I likewise preferred the LimToys version. Thanks for the heads-up on that!

Smart move from Lim Toys and a great practice from the company to keep updating the figure to make sure to please their customers.
I saw the review from the Metal Gear Solid figure they made, and the outcome is amazing. The level of detail on the accessories, clothing and HS is impressive. And I feel that the Gunslinger figure will also be awe inducing.

The LM Toys version is the one I just POd (that probably wasn't too clear.) I didn’t get this one.

VTS version looks like Dominic West, Lim version on the frontal promo poster looks a bit like Robert Downey Jr...

I haven't yet play the story mode of Read Dead Redemption 2, but seeing this figure makes me wanna go play it now.

Going over the promo pics from both LimToys and VTS, both the figures look bloody good, with their plethora of accessories. If I had to pick one, I'd probably have a very very hard time doing so.

I agree. There are things in both sets that would make one hell of a cool figure. I’m seriously tempted to get both and sell off parts that I don’t really care for, to get the best of both worlds.

Oooooh, that LIM one is actually nice. I trust Kit though and have always got good service. If he could get that one......

It might be worth messaging Kit to see if he can offer it again. He probably wouldn't list it in his store, but might do through his Facebook group since LIM are making him available to pre-order once more.

I ordered two from Kit when they first went up along with the 'mid-beard' sculpt which I don't think even had a photo.

I'll have to see how I'm fixed. Provided nothing else breaks or crashes I should be ok. Just have to see what happens.

That's good news. I saw that the LIM Toys rep over at the Freaks responded to my semi-gripe that if the only way one could get one was thru Facebook, that I was going to miss out. He said he'd look into other alternative avenues, and he obviously came through. Very cool of a company that is always trying to improve their products.

I think with LIM there will be a greater tendency towards accuracy. As opposed to VTS/DAM who, while capable of some really great work, don't always pay too much attention to the character themselves. i.e. their Mad Max Furiosa was a very detailed figure, and would've been a runaway success had she not be far too short to display with their Max!

Yeah, that Furiousa was a serious letdown, as I was really looking forward to that one; I have Max, and he's currently on my "One-and-Done" shelf of other lonely Sci-Fi characters. The prototype for her looked incredible -- such a shame. It's amazing to me that they can get all the male characters looking really good, but the females have been kind of suck (much like ThreeZero).

Yes, Threezero is another one. Some companies rely too heavily on cheap, readily available female bodies which are too petite for the characters.

I love Furiosa as a figure, but she's doomed for perpetuity as 'Teen Furiosa'.

There are games coming onto PC now that would previously only have been console exclusives. I believe Death Stranding was only originally intended for PS4, but, that is out on PC in July. Still no word on The Last Of Us though. I would LOVE a PC version of that.
