Beachhead Assault

I took a couple figures to the beach the other day.
















These were actually taken a day or two apart (Imperials one day, Rebels the next) but next time
I'll bring a lot of 'em together for some more combat shots.

I like this. Nice use of the real world for your little guys — you managed to capture a sense of movement, particularly that first image with the soft focus on the figures.

Thanks Mark! Getting these guys to stand was tricky, but I found some wire from a coat hanger in their footpeg holes worked really well, but each foot needed its own wire.

Coat hanger wire? Nice idea. Now that you mention it, I can see it (or its shadow) in a couple of the shots, but it is really quite clever and unobtrusive!

Cool, as the other guys said, great sense of movement. Did anyone ever fall flat on his face? I like the 'skyline on the rebels side, looks like some facility/outpost/city stuff.

Sad I don't have a beach around here, but you can't have everything.

Thanks a lot! Hah ohh you better believe there was a lot of teetering over. I did find that using two wires per figure helped quite significantly though.

We have some of the most drastic tide changes in the world here in the Bay of Fundy, it's insane how far out the water goes.

I'm not normally into military type stuff, but I'm glad I clicked. These photos are great! Make me think of some Stargate explorations!
