While I liked he poofy look, this now looks much more believable and life like. Very nice!

AerynDiana wrote:Very nice!!! I really like the all fur version the best, but I appreciate all of these photos with the cool backdrop and the light(n)ing!

Considering my little experience, it would seem to me that a hair sculpting only works with short hair, and you just made it very clear to me. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Thank you very much, Dweller, glad you liked it, and agree. But I don't think you have to put yourself down -- if I could do it, so could you. In case you gives you inspiration and (in some cases) how-to tips, here are some links to some of my previous re-hairing projects:

Btw quickly looking at the links, let me congratulate you on these well-accomplished projects.
You're welcome, hope it comes in handy. You're right, I didn't check to see if those would be good for natural wool/hair, but they're great on synthetic, which obviously is what gets mass produced.skywalkersaga wrote:Wow, thanks for this tip, tankgirlfuzzy! I've been looking for the perfect 'liquid wax' to use on the tibetan lamb hair, and this could be it!
ETA: Though here it does caution that the 'mist' might not be good to use on mohair:

Don't know about the water wax. So far the only examples I saw were it being used on synthetic hair, which is still very helpful because synthetic hair is generaly really messy and ugly, so it should still come in handy for that, if nothing else.

One thing I do with almost all my doll hair is restyle it, sometimes with a complete cut. I usually can't stand the huge curls and blunt chopped off look that they come out of the box with, but cutting it well is very laborious. I basically apply 1:1 hairstyling/cutting techniques to thin out the hair.
I did it with my Eowyn and Brunnhilde. Once you wash and cut it, you need to use this type of product to restyle it or it will look like a disaster!
