I know he made a bunch of goofy expressions, but I'm not sure they chose the best ones to capture, or that they succeeded in doing so. The first appearance looks definitely off to me, though don't ask me how; the second, open-mouthed one, perhaps a little less so. Then again, I'm no expert on this film and it has been a long while since I've seen it. But there is just something less than instantly recognizable as the actor in the features -- even if the hair and clothing and accessories leave no doubt as to who it is supposed to be.

It seems to fall into the uncanny caricature realm, rather than a good representation of wacky JN.

I agree I feel it looks more like a caricature of him.
