Excellent photos, Diana. Make me all the more excited for mine, whenever they get here.

Laughing Kinesiology tape. I'll revisit that experiment soon. The markings will either not matter or become part of the character. Smile

Nice pics, Diana. And… YIKES on that tape residue. She looks like she was mauled by a wild animal and that’s the scar tissue.

I'm thinking about taking a head and using glue to mimic these scars and have them continue in her face. Then maybe RitDye them to make them stand out more. That body is a write off anyway so I might as well have some fun with it. Smile

Mine turned up just now, after all that cursing. Smile

It doesn't match any of my TBLs, either - not even the pinker new S04s/S07s.

It will probably be a better match for a Jaiou wheat (or more likely pink), with all their faults.

Maybe I'll finally take the plunge and buy an LDoll.  Neutral

Half-disappointed, but also half-pleased, I'm sure I can do something with it.

CONCLUSION:

It's a pretty head, but to be honest the Gold Saintess Knight released during the loooooong wait for this ticks a lot of the same boxes for me, and (of course) it matches a TBL body.

Cool crate/box though, definitely.

Got mine this morning. Overall really pleased. A bit annoyed by the skin tone, but happy that, in-hand, it does look like the promo shots. It's a nice HS.

My SD Set066 came in today. I think it's the same head, but with blonde hair. I forgot to take a pic before i put on mask, doh!

I got mine yesterday with the long hair, and it became my favorite, suddenly the other HS i own don’t look so great now Wink. The only reason I don’t order 10 more (exaggerating) is because the skin don’t match. I hope their next batch or sculpt fixes this issue.

That’s a great Captain Marvel, Craig.

I like this sculpt so much I ordered 2 more of the same version I already have (as back up), and one with the long dark hair.

Dang! I ordered the blonde haired version last week that should arrive soon. I'm liking the brunette version as well. May have to go with turtleneck or sheer tops for this headsculpt though due to the tone difference.

It is a large sculpt, so it looks best on the bigger bodies, imo. Here is S43 and S21B for reference.

Here is the B curly version, hopefully will get the blonde and short version from a new vendor (couldn't believe Giant toy sold them all). The body is aset goddess, at first it would look odd since the HS is bigger but that's just an illusion, the neck was the problem but with the help of some yellow tape, fixed.  Mad

I can’t believe these are all the same sculpt. It tells me that the sculpt has a lot of personality to look so différent (at least to me) based on the hair style and color.

They are the same sculpt, with different hair. The neck connector can make the head sit a little too high on TBLeague bodies. It is easily removable and can be replaced with a foamie that would allow a more natural look. I'm posting reference photos of all three versions in the new Head Sculpt reference thread.

I really need to look into these foamies as getting head sculpts to sit at the right height seems to be an issue more times than not.

They help a lot. You can apply them either around the neck peg horizontally, or around it vertically. And of course you can cut them to size as needed.

Here are all three versions of the head, each on a TBLeague S47B body (the middle one is technically the body from the Saintess Knight set, but it's the same thing). Zoomed-in versions in the Head Sculpt reference thread.

I regret not getting the other two versions, they look really good. I would love to see a long red hair version. Smile

Well, you might still get a chance. These are also popular enough to be re-released, if it comes to that. I bet a red-head version would be just as gorgeous. This makes me feel a little bad for being fairly dismissive towards Super Duck heads in general -- although in my defense, these are pretty exceptional for them.

You can also use clingfilm (saran wrap), wrapped around the metal neck peg multiple times (need more of it than you think to bulk it out in some cases, depending on the head), and then held in place on the neck peg with a mini clear rubber band (or several). This also makes the metal neck peg on the tbleague bodies less 'slippery', which helps keep the head in place when posed.

Thanks for the reference pics Ian. Also, I agree, this sculpt would probably look fantastic as a redhead as well!

Nice shots! Thanks for sharing.

Since this sculpt turned out really well, I wonder how well their Jessica Alba (from the Sin City cowgirl outfit) head will turn out.
