Returning to the beginning of The Mandalorian’s story, Star Wars witnessed the eponymous bounty hunter took on a mysterious bounty from a client to search for an asset on the desert planet of Arvala-7. Upon arrival, Mandalorian was assisted by Kuiil the Ugnaught and learned to ride the blurrg in order to reach the settlement seeking the valuable asset.

Fans were instantly captivated by the unfolding of the Mandalorian’s journey, and in celebration of Star Wars Day, Hot Toys is excited to present a special 1/6th scale collectible set featuring the Mandalorian in his original armor and the Blurrg!

The Mandalorian collectible figure features meticulously crafted helmet and armor pieces, finely tailored outfit, specially weathering effects, a blaster rifle, a blaster pistol.

The highly-accurate Blurrg is skillfully developed based on the appearance of the creature in The Mandalorian. Standing at approximately 37cm tall (43cm with base) and 60cm in length, it features greatly detailed head and body, articulated arms, a saddle, and a rocky theme display stand!

Blurrgs are two-legged beasts of burden found on a number of worlds in the galaxy. Stoic and strong, they are used for everything from agricultural labor to war, foraging lazily in paddocks or carrying Twi'lek guerrillas and clone troopers into battle. Although they appear harmless and docile, their toothy mouths can betray a fierce demeanor; females are known to devour the males of the species during mating season.

Yikes! $315 USD just for the Blurrg by itself, and $555 for the Mandalorian/Blurrg set. Jeezus! These prices are getting seriously out of control.

Since mando was always aroudn 300 and even above most of the time this is no surprise to me. That Blurrg at least looks better than that Griffin statue from Lucifer.

But yeah, all the prices just go higher and higher in this hobby

There's a specific aspect to this which bugs me, and it's the apparent tendency to overwork and overprice support animals to go with 1/6 figures, especially fantasy animals.  It's as if there is no obvious standard pricing for this category, so they can just set whatever price they want.  So I guess they reach up into the range of resin/statue pricing, which is actually more punishing than 1/6 figures are.  

Apart from this Blurgg I'm thinking of the Game of Thrones Dragon, which is insane.  Instead of $1000 delicate resin, and a mentality of "If you have to ask you can't afford it," they could have made many more people happy (and more money overall) with an affordable piece, maybe plastic.  Remembering McFarlane has delivered truly fantastic Fire and Ice Dragons, and fully posable, for 1/12 scale, at a ridiculously cheap $20.

Only Disney can turn random burping sounds into trademarks.

How cute! Although I would have preferred a Dewback, of course. If the arms are articulated (they say so, although they don't show it), why not the legs (they seem to be attached to the body the very same way)?

The legs look attached to the base.

if the saddle comes off... I'd get the blurg.

but it looks molded on I believe.

I thought so too. But if you could get them loose from it, would they articulate at the hip? It might not work particularly well, but for me it's the principle of the thing.
