Is that Connor McGregor? Love it when they do cool faces, and having recognizable celebrities makes their sets useful in other ways. Although I realize not everyone feels that way. Smile Anyway, another loaded, cool set from DAM Toys.

People over at Armed figures are butt hurt because of this figures Nationality and accurate Insignia for a most current FSB operator lol. I'm in love with this figure I have not bought a figure from Damtoys in a while because of their price increases (this one is $300) for unlicensed Military figures it's pretty stupid but this one I can't pass on, he's loaded with good parts and a perfect PKP which I've wanted an FSB designated gunner for a while and he goes perfect with one of the figures they released a few years ago so this one is complete home run for me.

Sheesh, I had no idea they had bumped their prices so much. As much as I appreciate the complexity and amplitude of these sets, as well as their apparent accuracy, I do not really collect modern military, so I've usually only bought parted-out parts (head sculpts, guns, shirts, etc.), so the price hike has eluded me. Then again, it is probably partly reflected in the rising prices of parts. Anyway, McAllen's Finest, I hope you enjoy it.

Holy crap! $300?! I could see (maybe) $220, but there’s no justification for $300.

I think $300 might be a big marketing mistake, especially given some collectors might be a bit more squeamish about Russian military figs, given current events.
I'd never personally go over $200 for a BJD military figure, unless it came with some really amazing extras.

Heh, that was my first thought also.
Very detailed figure.

Yeah some really nice parts on this. poor -conceived timing, but some really nice parts. That weapon is superb. However, sadly priced out as they’re getting ridiculous now. Will try for loose bits here and there

My main supplier, the prices are correct, and with their customs pre-declaration system for a few dollars, the packages arrive quickly and without taxes. Smile

Does look like Connor to me too Gubernator. I usually buy parted out pieces as well. I may find the head sculpt at a later date. They're usually pretty well done and fairly abundant.

Knock on wood. Maybe we shouldn't spread the word. But than again, this is largely the purpose of this site. Smile

haha, yea, I'm fairly patient with these. They often go for a lot at first, but after a while they get cheaper cause there's so many.

Question for those that bought this, in all of the photos and the one video in Russian I found for this figure, they have the straps ( the ones with velcro) of the back panel of the assault vest going THROUGH the shoulder pads of the front panel of the assault vest.

I simply cannot make that happen and was wondering if anyone else who bought the production version of this figure was able to do that.

Whats the trick for doing that?

The area circled in red below is what I am talking about.

Welcome to the board!

I didnt get the full kit of this. I presume from the pictures that they probably left the buckle unstrapped first and then buckled after the velcro part was stuffed in. I always find military gear takes a lot of patience to put together. That and handy pair of tweezers makes it a bit easier.

thanks for the welcome..

This is my first foray into the world of 1/6th figures. I've been aware of these for awhile, but always thought they were too expensive.

Over the course of 3 days I've probably got at least 5-6 hours into this guy. I wasn't expecting it to be like this NEW PRODUCT: DAMTOYS: 78092 1/6 Scale SPETSNAZ FSB ALPHA GROUP GUNNER 1f606 NEW PRODUCT: DAMTOYS: 78092 1/6 Scale SPETSNAZ FSB ALPHA GROUP GUNNER 1f606

Hehe, welcome to the club lol. Yea the military figures tend to be more challenging to put together. Often they lack instructions. I only have one DamToys fig and one military figure. Other figures tend to be more straight forward and hot toys figs usually have an instruction sheet. Most do not unfortunately. One cool thing is it lets you soak in all the details they put into the figure and the military ones usually come packed with accessories !

Got it figured out. Just in case anyone else with 10 thumbs has an issue with it, the front panel straps that the back panel straps passes through is sewn on both sides, no velcro there. Only the back panel straps have velcro.

Basically the webbing has to be separated from the front panel and back panel straps, the velcro closure on the back panel straps is than closed and pushed through the front panel straps. Easier said than done, I had to moisten it to get it to compress enough to fit through there and than pushed and pulled using tweezers and a small wooden dowel.

After the back panel straps are passed through, the webbing than had to be pushed through all of that mess and attached at the back panel.

Hopefully all that makes sense. I should have made a video..

This was easily almost an hours effort alone lol..

Worth it though once it is all together as the dude looks pretty cool..

Success! Glad you figured it out!

Hah! Welcome to the board and to the hobby! May you find as much joy in it as we do. Smile

I’m definitely getting Conor vibes as well with the sculpt. Always like how DAM does reminiscent sculpts instead of dead ringers…it probably saves them from lawsuits, lol. I’ll wait for it to be sold loose and shown next to a ruler. I used to buy almost all the DAM neckless sculpts as soon as they were available, but they started undersized most to compensate for head gear scaling, and they are more like 1/7 as a stand alone piece. This results in a ‘pinhead’ effect when used generally especially especially on more muscular bodies like the bigger Phicen guys. Scale is everything regardless of how well done the features.
