Indeed, could Dr. Doom himself be the mastermind behind these diabolically clever made-in-China clones of famous, copyrighted, trademarked characters? There is quite an art to making "close enough" action figures that will satisfy fans while avoiding the nebulous lines of copyright infringement and royalty requirements.

I do enjoy the product photos that have the celebrity likeness facial features pixellated on retail websites. I find that ploy quite amusing!

Well Marvel lost their money by not doing anything with their most famous beloved villain. He always been disappointment in Marvel movie and lack of merchandising as well. I can't be satisfied with just kid toys like Marvel Legends.

The revealed face looks like a scarred up Stephen Lang — he’d make a great Doom.

It is impressive.  There is too much emphasis in the promos on the unmasked look (which is a misunderstanding of the character) but that's irrelevant.  I think the specific Doom design here is somewhat "borrowed" from the Sideshow 1/4 scale "Premium" statue of Doom on Throne that was made around 2005, which is a good choice.

A very cool set. I remember having a smaller scale Dr Doom figure as a kid, when I had no idea who he was. This is, of course, so much more awesome.
