The infantry used by the Trade Federation had several major shortcomings that were carefully revisited by the battle droids' designers. From that research came the Super Battle Droid, a bulkier, stronger, and more advanced version of the standard mechanical soldier. The Super Battle Droid requires no overriding command signal to operate, and thus has a limited degree of independence. They are fearless and tireless, and will run at full speed into combat, their cannons extended, firing until they have reduced their targets to smoldering ruins.

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, Hot Toys is delighted to present today, the 1/6th scale Super Battle Droid collectible figure!

The 1/6th scale Super Battle Droid collectible figure is based on its appearance in the Geonosis arena battle. It features a newly developed mechanical structure with stunning metallic paint applications, a wide range of articulations, and a sand-themed display stand!

I wish they come up with 2 or 3 packs.... like the battle droids by sideshow previously....

Why does this remind me of the reimagined versions of the cylons from the Battlestar Galactica series…

I remember these. Not enough of a fan to worry about getting any. In principle, all military units should come in multiple packs, but I don't think Hot Toys would want to reduce the price. Even in the rare cases they have offered two-packs, the price was only slightly lower than getting two separately, and there was usually something extra to sweeten the deal.

If these had more diecast parts...

...I still would not buy them but at least they would feel valuable for the price

I barely remember the film, not really for me, but I'm sure some would love to army build with these. Not sure if they posted price yet but would be nice if they weren't too expensive for the fans that do want to army build.

Even as a big fan of the Prequels I still don't know that I can justify shelling out for Hot Toys prices for battle droids. I'm currently trying to hunt down some old Hasbro battle droids, since all I need them for is to use as props for photo shoots.

These do seem well done for what they are, I'm just more into the actual characters than the army building side of things.
