If you have something very specific in mind but can't find anything that suits, you may think about commissioning something....though of course that can get quite expensive, depending on what artist you use. But otherwise you will either have to make do with something less than exact, or do a lot of customising work yourself on it to make it look how you want. Sometimes the person or character you are trying to recreate is too specific to use a generic or celebrity sculpt, so it's something to consider.

ETA: Even if you don't want to commission a complete headsculpt from scratch, you could consider having an existing one professionally repainted to look more like how you want.

I own the figure called Vicky from Damtoys.

I do really like the figure but this figure has an issue which I would like to deal with. The lack of hands.

quest - Please help me find... (continuously updated) - Page 25 20190310

Vicky only got A gun hooking right and a hooking left hand. I would really like to have more hand poses. Is someone aware and can recommend female hands with the same gloved style?

venator5

Just for a question.

Using male gloved hands would be out of scale? Would it be a good idea?

ZeroDelta

Well, I think any hands gloved or otherwise, that use the same or similar wrist pegs that DAM uses should work and I have seen male glove hands who are rather smallish and there are also sets of gloved female hands out there.

Male gloved hands will be wildly out of scale. It will be very difficult to find the exact same style of hands/gloves.

These hands from VSTOYS are not compatible?

Yeah, I did get a price for a custom headsculpt, but I also got a price put together for the whole figure, and the headsculpt (a digital sculpt, 3D print, painting, and hair rooting job) came to 2/3rds of the total cost, so I decided to go with the the smiling blonde head I posted earlier, and get it rerooted, as that seemed to be the best balance between accuracy and cost.

If I were you, I would first try to find something similar and try to customize it.

Those are the ones I thought of as well. They work great on a TBLeague body but don’t fit a Very Cool body. TBLeague forearms have bigger pegs.

If you have a TBLeague female figure, see if the hands will fit Vicky. If they do, then the VSToys Hans would probably be the way to go. Or, you can look on sites like Monkey Depot for more pairs of Damtoys hands.

Sounds like a plan!

Unfortunatelly The one Vicky has is I Believe the Very Cool one, which I have seen on Villa and Jenner. TBleague on Nancy and the one used on Katherine would not fit.

I am recently eyeballing with these but I am not sure about the scales. Maybe gloved hands of chinese man figures would not be of scale? Can anyone make a comparison?

Wonderpants,
I've also been looking for more animated/singing expressions.
Verycool made one that is my favorite, It comes with a miniskirt (garbage...)
Most are sold out, maybe Ebay has it.
I tried to get her hair red, but it only tinted.
Good luck.

That VeryCool headsculpt is very similar to their more recent sculpt for the VeryCool Black Cat (with the silver hair). Maybe even the same mold? There are definitely some of the VC Black Cat still available out there...

Thanks, what headsculpt is it exactly?

skywalkersaga

skywalkersaga
It's from a now-sold out VeryCool figure (the name of it is escaping me right now). There's a very similar headsculpt (could be same mold, even) that was used for a more recent VeryCool figure, and it's still available:

I don’t know how you do that. I probably wouldn’t recognize my own girls’ sculpts on another figure! Razz

MX-V

That's the exact head on ebay. In fact, with white hair is sooooo cool.
Plus white hair would be easier to color.

skywalkersaga

Ha, yeah, it's a nice head! Been wanting it myself for some project down the line. Hope it can help Wonderpants.

Thanks, the face shape is wrong though (I'm a fussy bastard! Very Happy )

It's annoying to realise when you start looking how few female headsculpts there are that aren't blank/neutral ones, especially compared to the male ones.

And then most of the ones that have an expression are recasts of the HT Harley Quinn head....

MX-V

MX-V
I can understand that.
I'm the same way sometimes.
Thought of having a totally custom job, but then it occured to me, what about the proportions?
Might be too big, too small.

So many neutral expressions out there. Not enough variation.
And I've ordered a laughing Harley head to alter into a Carnivale dancer.
Hopefully that's not a future trainwreck.

Anyway, good luck on your search.

Wonderpants

Thanks, I've decided to go with the DStoys D-010 head below and get someone to do a rerooting job (and maybe a bit of repainting) on it to get it looking like the second picture.

I did look into getting a completely custom headsculpt done, but it would have been 2/3rd of the cost of the whole figure (for a digital headsculpt, printing, rooting the hair, and painting), so I decided to go with the above option as the best balance between cost and accuracy.

The vampire shirt looks perfect for your need, just an option for you, the undershirt from Hot Toys Ezio with buttons, its a bit of a tight fit at the body though, i used it for my Blade Trinity Drake.

Apologies for the double post, but I'm having trouble finding something else, as well. Looking for male hands with claws. Not decaying horror hands like zombies, but something a bit more beast-like with long claws. There's the recent tbleague hands, but I believe those unfortunately only have four 'fingers' on each hand, whereas I'm looking for normal five-fingered hands.

The closest I have seen thus far are probably the Black Panther claws, but being part of a costume rather than actual hands, they are not natural-looking enough for what I need.

Of course, I can always modify existing hands to have claws, but I hate sculpting with a fiery passion and try to avoid it at every possible opportunity. Razz So I'd prefer not to have to sculpt something as tiny and precise as claws, if possible....

Hmmm, I’ve never seen male hands like that that didn’t belong to some specific character. I think you may be SOL on that front, S. Sorry.
