E60065B  Bf 109 Cockpit (Grey Blue)

Brief Introduction
The Bf-109 (also known as Me-109) is a single-seat, single-engine, single-wing, all-metal piston fighter aircraft developed by Germany. It was one of the most outstanding light fighters with comprehensive performance during World War II. Designed by Messerschmitt, it adopted the most advanced aerodynamic shape, retractable landing gear, and closed canopy at that time, and entered service in 1936. Later, the Bf-109 was derived multiple models and fulfilled various tasks, becoming the backbone of the Luftwaffe’s fighter force during World War II. At the same time, it was also the fighter with the largest production quantity and was flown by most air combat aces during World War II.

DID glad to bring you the 1/6 reproduction of the cockpit of the Bf-109, available in two versions: grey-blue (E60065B) and sand (E60065Y).  The cockpit is made from plastic and metal and features exquisite details of the interior. It includes multiple flight instruments that display various parameters of the aircraft’s motion and have precise scales. The cockpit also has a flexible joystick for maneuvering in all directions, foot pedals for controlling the aircraft’s speed, and various accessories necessary for the cockpit.

The cockpit is also equipped with lighting effects to simulate the real lighting conditions inside the cabin. In addition, the details of the seat belt have been realistically restored! Being in it feels like being there in person.

The grey-blue version features Mickey Mouse holding a cigar, which is the symbol of the ace pilot Adolf Galland, while the sand version can be paired with Hans-Joachim Marseille, the Star of Africa, previously released.

In addition, it comes with an EVA base that makes it easy to place the cockpit securely.

The newly crafted 1/6 Bf-109 cockpit is exquisitely made. It perfectly replicates the real details of the interior of the cockpit, making you feel as if you are really there. You can use the cockpit to recreate realistic scenarios of World War II air combat and have more fun with your ace pilots. Let’s take them to fight in the air!

PS: The action figures that are shown in the images are NOT included in E60065BY.

I am impressed with DID for commissioning such diorama pieces. I'm sure it is a significant commitment of resources and space, but I'm sure a die-hard collector would appreciate them much more fully.

They do seem like a tribute/upgrade to the very classic cockpit sets that BBI Elite force did years ago for the F-15C, a much beloved now vintage 1/6 piece.  These being historically older planes, the detail of the instrumentation is quite different, and they would make a nice display contrast.  They do lose out on one detail that those later jet fighter cockpits incorporated (that does not apply here), namely the seat being a removable ejector seat, which gave the jets more play, display or photo options.  And I hope their lighting is less finicky than BBI's.

I do love these to bits, though I am not really a military collector, and not a "shelf display" guy either.  I don't think anyone has gone back to the Cockpit concept in years (except for a $2000+ Robotech piece) so I certainly welcome that.

Very cool , and perfect photo opportunities as we can see . Probably go up steeply as supply dwindles . Sadly not for me , I don`t really delve into WW2 , but I think it will sell well .

Photo opportunities will be a bit challenging actually, restricted to very precise angles to avoid revealing where there is no complete plane. But yeah, when you get it right, the close-ups look awesome because your unconscious brain kinda fills in a complete plane which you couldn't easily do in 1/6 scale. (Going by my experience with the BBI). Beyond the WW2 guys, I can see this doing something interesting with Captain America, or esp. Indiana Jones.

Outstanding work, that cockpit detail is unbelievable. Think I may be in for a grey blue.

O-hooo my!! That looks like an incredible diorama piece!! did - NEW PRODUCT: DiD: 1/6 scale Bf 109 Cockpit (2 Versions: Grey Blue & Sand) 1f603 I have a pilot figure in mind that this could work well with, even though the plane it’s from is from an older era.

That's fantastic. If they have other designs as well, even better...

(come to think of it, I would love it if Hot Toys did this for SW ships, because I cannot fit an entire ship in my collection, but a cockpit diorama would be neat. )

Well, there is that Millennium Falcon cockpit diorama by Jazz Inc, which looks very impressive, although one reviewer pointed out all sorts of things that could have been done better.
I forget if HT ever did a display diorama of that, but they did make a TIE Fighter (the whole thing). But it was just for an exhibit, I don't think they ever made it for sale (and if they did, one can only imagine the expense of funds and space required).

HT made a prototype Millennium Falcon cockpit diorama, and then they even wasted a crap ton of money making a complete 1/6 scale version of the entire ship (which is now, no doubt, in Howard Chan’s personal collection).

Interesting. Was the MF cockpit out for sale or just a prototype?

Wow, the detail in this is absolutely amazing! The flush riveting on the body is very well done, and the instruments and all. It will probably be overwhelming in person. I've been looking for 1/6 diorama pieces, and they have been few and far between. Two I was really interested in sold out while I was trying to decide whether to pony up the cash.

Too bad this isn't my genre, or maybe I should be a little glad. Looks really expensive, but worth it.

They did also do a complete Jedi starfighter from RotS, but I'm guessing it was just for display at SDCC. Even if they ever made one for sale, there's no way I'd be able to afford it or have room for it in my small house. So a cockpit dio is probbaly the closest I could get. But it's probably quicker and more cost-effective at this rate to just make a diorama myself. Razz

Hmm perhaps these being made will open the door for more plane cockpits (?) I think I’d like a revamped F-15 Very Happy
