That is cool to have more historical figures and I didn't know van Gogh was fighting in the civil war.
Not entirely sure of the material of the outfit (looks a bit cheap imo, but what do I know?)

Van Gough was exactly who I saw, as well. I like that one over the Iowa one. I could use that fellow, modified a bit, for my West World.

I, too, thought of Van Gough. It even has an impressionistic feel to it; I do prefer them more realistic. I also can't say a single wide-open-mouthed head sculpt seems like a good idea to me. That said, at least lately we haven't been seeing too much in the way of Civil War sixth scale figures, though for all I know it wasn't always so. I suppose an enterprising customizer could swap the heads with more realistic ones, and these guys can play with Clint Eastwood as Blondie.

Good to see something for historical figure builders for a change... the choice of fabrics looks pretty good to me , looks like brushed cotton/ polysuede, which approach the look of wool or cotton cloth. Rather agree about the choice of heads, the shouting one is particularly annoying.

And don't laugh at shouty, that's just the way he is. It's his expression. He goes through life with an open mouth and an open heart. He only closes it to chew.
