This is based on a real veteran (Todd Blackburn), and looks like him (rather than like Orlando Bloom, who played him in the movie Black Hawk Down). I wouldn't really know about the military equipment details, but it looks like an excellent set.

That movie was sort of strange to me. Through most of it you couldn’t tell who was who, but I suppose that makes sense when they have all that gear on.

That's how I feel about Stormtroopers! But, seriously, I know what you mean. I saw it a long time ago and don't remember much.

DAM make some great sets.
but this just looks like an overly elaborate game of buckaroo to me.
i imagine it would be a NIGHTMARE to assemble

I really like this one and the way they have mixed up the different fabrics and camo patterns.  Using the early 1990s desert camo mixed with the woodland camo pouches and web gear was seen a lot in that time period.  Then they add an ALICE pack complete with a frame and all in solid Ranger green, and switch to an entirely different OD for the parachute packs. To me this gives an exceptionally interesting look to the figure.

The weapons are spot on and highly detailed.  I'm a little concerned seeing the M4 carbine broken down, because the weapons fit on the one Damtoys figure I have is very loose.  I've thought about gluing the whole thing together, so it won't fall apart when I'm posing the figure differently.  That said, there's lots of extra equipment in the set.

Pretty sure that I'm going to PO this one, although I agree it won't be easy to put together.

Nice likeness and what a great loadout! I don't remember any airborne regiment in the movie Black Hawk Down, and I presume the gear is more modern than the 1993 rangers, but that a very beautiful figure!

Yeah, no airborne as such, just the 75th rangers but no airborne drops. Nice looking figure….might try to get loose sets of the standard get up without the chute

I think the movie was great (great story, great cast, great director and of course the soundtrack)

the figure looks well made. Lot of unique details and a realistic helmet/visor.

Just bought it for €218 including shipping by KG, they had one in stock. Hopefully I receive it without custom fees like last time.
