I have to say, I love this one. The tigers are absolutely spot on. I owned 2 sets of these in 1:1 when I did Nam re-enacting (repros, but the marine pattern if my memory serves). Nice webbing etc too. Sculpt not perfect, but recognisable....especially with the helmet on. Will be picking up loose sets of the tigers, and probably webbing and boots (if they work out cheaper to get than multiple boxed figures of it haha)

OMG, thats Willard from Apocalypse Now! I always wanted to kitbash him as well as Kilgore, because I did kitbash a bunch of 1st CAV Troops as well as Special Forces. I may get this one, even if my focus is currently on something else.

And the set includes his wristwatch! Seiko re-issued the 6105, under a new number, SBDC111, in 2020... at a retail price of $1400. The watch is commonly referred to among wristwatch collectors as "the Captain Willard" or "the Willard turtle" ("turtle" being a reference to the rounded shape of the metal case).

I agree, excellent looking set. I am generally very positively impressed with Ujindou.

O.k this is a pretty cool looking dude , these are only my opinions . I have never heard , read or seen photos of LRRP`s in M1 Helmets , I would of liked to of seen him equipped with a Tropical Ruck sack rather than the ARVN two pocket one . I also think he`s lacking ammo , four ammo pouches and two ammo bandoliers would of been more realistic I feel . He probably has something close to the right amount of water , LRRP rations needed added water to make them edible , and he still needs to drink . He kind of falls in somewhere between a full kitted LRRP and the film character . Some nice kit all the same .

Excellent figure. I may have to scratch some funds together for this one. It's a great looking set.

Chip, you do have it right with the gear. Helmets were rarely if ever carried. More ammo was always preferred over the helmet. Same for the rest.

yup, the helmets were not worn, but as they're doing the character from the film, he did wear one....but I will be getting sets of the tigers and webbing and bulking it out accordingly. Will do wonders for my tribute of my late friend for his widow.
