Diana, yes I noticed the staining on the figures, hence my comment, lol. Not sure I buy that it's 'intentional', but ok.... ;p

Actually, you can. As much as I love the female form, these bare midriffs and overall over-sexualization have often made me cringe with figures of the type (female warriors), so I think this, as well as the more determined and slightly more mature head sculpts are among the very things making these figures better than the usual product.

I should have put an emoji in there. I was actually poking fun at how prevalent bare midriffs are in female figures. It almost seems like an unwritten rule at times.
water lily wrote:Whoa I love Aries' facial design. Doesn't look so 'Chinese' like most games do nowadays. I wish they will make a Capricorn one with strong impression like that. I'm just afraid if this series won't be welcomed much, they will shut it down.

Welcome water lily!
I totally share your concern and hope that many many people will pre-order these.
But you don't want to...Diana wrote:I just saw a video of their heads. They were posted in December on Facebook:

Griche wrote:my martina came in today. Ngl i was kinda disappointed from all the black staining on her neck, shoulders and ankles caused by the fake leather. The stains reminded me of soot. Some of the stains were incredible hard to remove on the silicone body. I tried to clean it as best as I could, but some marks still remain. There are parts of the armor that bit into the silicone leaving yellow stains and dents. in terms of craftsmanship, ill give it a 6.5/10. she does look quite nice though.
Sorry to hear about all the staining, but not entirely surprised. Good luck. If it is a TBLeague-like body, the stains might get absorbed over time.Griche wrote:my martina came in today. Oh no!! That doesn't sound good... I hope it won't be too noticeable on mine. I don't mind too much if the stains are hidden.
I'm glad you got some of it (mostly?) removed.
I'm sorry you've encountered so many problems with your figure. I don't have this set, so I don't know how common these problems are. They -- or some of them -- could have been caused due to storage or transportation for extended time in high heat. Something that is fairly common across brands (though maybe not Hot Toys) are initially very tight rolling eyeballs. As with other overly stiff joints, heating up (with a hairdryer, for example) might help.Tonsoffun wrote:Hi everyone, I’m new to the forum. I just received mine few days ago, and it seem to have a few QC issues. I just wanted to ask if anybody has these problems because I felt like I’m the one with bad luck because mine is the worst.
Firstly, the glue inside the transplant hair that connected to the magnet part was sticky and does not work at all. It completely felt of when I tried to open her head to adjust the eyes, so I had to re-glue it. Also her eyes are extremely tight, it took me quite an effort to adjust.
Secondly , the body was heavily stained with black dye from the undergarment, the strap of the sandals, and some yellowish stain from parts of the armor.
Thirdly, the arm-plate on the holding right-hand felt off when I touched it, leave a nasty molding marks. The leather strap of the sandals on her both legs were completely dismantled when I got her out of the box.
I fixed all of the issue, mostly re-glue and clean it but I’m kind of concern about the QC of their future product (namely the Witch which I have order earlier this year, just received the repayment invoice email).
The body they used on her have wide shoulder, so her body proportions seem a bit off. Other than that, I’m quite satisfied with her looks, especially her head sculpt. Just a bit disappointed because I expected more of the refinement at this price range.
Sorry for my grammar, English is not my native language.
If the body is sticky, you can try (with or without washing it gently with warm water and soap first) applying protective powder -- silicon finishing powder or starch, for example.Tonsoffun wrote:Thank you for your explaination. I think you're right. Maybe the heat from the transportation did make the glue melt and the body sticky and stain. Thank god these are just minor issues though, but sure did annoying. I hope i'll have better luck with the Witch. Much appreciated !
Diana wrote:Hello Tonsosfun! Welcome to the forum!
And sorry about your troubles. I have yet to receive mine, so I can not comment at this time, but it sounds like you may have found the explanation. I might film my unboxing in case I need replacements. I also have the Aries figure and the Crow Girl on order. Hopefully they will all be as trouble free as the Shamans were, which are still among my favourite figures.
