Diana, yes I noticed the staining on the figures, hence my comment, lol. Not sure I buy that it's 'intentional', but ok.... ;p

Actually, you can. As much as I love the female form, these bare midriffs and overall over-sexualization have often made me cringe with figures of the type (female warriors), so I think this, as well as the more determined and slightly more mature head sculpts are among the very things making these figures better than the usual product.

I should have put an emoji in there. I was actually poking fun at how prevalent bare midriffs are in female figures. It almost seems like an unwritten rule at times.

I’m going to have to pass on Scorpio. $400 for a “generic” figure with a base is too much, especially since I’m thinking about getting both of the Medusa figures.

Ouch! That's understandable. I'm guessing shipping is the killer for you in regards to KG?

I just placed an order for both with dioramas and Ahsoka, which saved me quite a bit on shipping, too.

At KG these figures cost 224 USD each.
The dioramas cost 51 USD each.

Ahsoka is at 282 USD and shipping in total came to around 100 bucks. Not bad!

(But this was painful... Really gotta start selling some figures now. Laughing)

Actually I was looking at them at my preferred “local” sellers. The figures are $300 USD and then another $80 for the bases. They are free shipping eligible, but I’m losing any desire to pay $300 for unlicensed figures that have zero justification for that price. They look cool and all, but no likeness to anyone, no attachment to any IP, so where exactly is the reasoning for a $300 price tag coming from…

Oh, I totally assumed you were being at least slightly facetious, but they don't call me Captain Obvious for nothing. And I do really like this slightly more serious and therefore more credible aspect of these products.

Whoa I love Aries' facial design. Doesn't look so 'Chinese' like most games do nowadays. I wish they will make a Capricorn one with strong expression like that. I'm just afraid if this series won't be welcomed much, they will shut it down.  NEW PRODUCT: POPTOYS: Olympus: The Star Chart Series - Scorpio Warrior - Martina (OSC-001), Aries Warrior-Ariel (OSC-003), & 2 Diorama Bases (OSC-002/004) - Page 2 1f610

my martina came in today. Ngl i was kinda disappointed from all the black staining on her neck, shoulders and ankles caused by the fake leather. The stains reminded me of soot. Some of the stains were incredible hard to remove on the silicone body. I tried to clean it as best as I could, but some marks still remain. There are parts of the armor that bit into the silicone leaving yellow stains and dents. in terms of craftsmanship, ill give it a 6.5/10. she does look quite nice though.

Oh no!! That doesn't sound good... I hope it won't be too noticeable on mine. I don't mind too much if the stains are hidden. Suspect
I'm glad you got some of it (mostly?) removed.

Sorry to hear about all the staining, but not entirely surprised. Good luck. If it is a TBLeague-like body, the stains might get absorbed over time.

its pretty noticeable if you remove her armor. seamless body has a slightly more plastic feel than regular tbl body. The figurine must've been in the box for a long time because the glue holding the roman sandle-like straps were already apart when I unboxed it.

Noah! That’s a bummer. Hopefully you can soak the leather bits to get rid of the extra dye, and once you leave the figure naked for a bit those stains will stain.

Hi everyone, I’m new to the forum. I just received mine few days ago, and it seem to have a few QC issues. I just wanted to ask if anybody has these problems because I felt like I’m the one with bad luck because mine is the worst.
Firstly, the glue inside the transplant hair that connected to the magnet part was sticky and does not work at all. It completely felt of when I tried to open her head to adjust the eyes, so I had to re-glue it.  Also her eyes are extremely tight, it took me quite an effort to adjust.
Secondly , the body was heavily stained with black dye from  the undergarment, the strap of the sandals, and some yellowish stain from parts of the armor.
Thirdly, the arm-plate on the holding right-hand felt off when I touched it, leave a nasty molding marks. The leather strap of the sandals on her both legs were completely dismantled when I got her out of the box.
I fixed all of the issue, mostly re-glue and clean it but I’m kind of concern about the QC of their future product (namely the Witch which I have order earlier this year, just received the repayment invoice email).
The body they used on her have wide shoulder and narrow hips so her body proportions seem a bit off. Other than that, I’m quite satisfied with her looks, especially her head sculpt. Just a bit disappointed because I expected more of the refinement at this price range.
Sorry for my grammar, English is not my native language.NEW PRODUCT: POPTOYS: Olympus: The Star Chart Series - Scorpio Warrior - Martina (OSC-001), Aries Warrior-Ariel (OSC-003), & 2 Diorama Bases (OSC-002/004) - Page 2 Img_2016

I'm sorry you've encountered so many problems with your figure. I don't have this set, so I don't know how common these problems are. They -- or some of them -- could have been caused due to storage or transportation for extended time in high heat. Something that is fairly common across brands (though maybe not Hot Toys) are initially very tight rolling eyeballs. As with other overly stiff joints, heating up (with a hairdryer, for example) might help.

Thank you for your explaination. I think you're right. Maybe the heat from the transportation did make the glue melt and the body sticky and stain. Thank god these are just minor issues though, but sure did annoying. I hope i'll have better luck with the Witch. Much appreciated !

Hello Tonsosfun! Welcome to the forum! Smile

And sorry about your troubles. I have yet to receive mine, so I can not comment at this time, but it sounds like you may have found the explanation. I might film my unboxing in case I need replacements. I also have the Aries figure and the Crow Girl on order. Hopefully they will all be as trouble free as the Shamans were, which are still among my favourite figures. Smile

If the body is sticky, you can try (with or without washing it gently with warm water and soap first) applying protective powder -- silicon finishing powder or starch, for example.

Thank you Diana !  From the information that i gathered, POPTOYS quality seems to be consistent. I should've film it but i guess it's my fault for being subjective. Lucky for me it's just minor issue, nothing is broken so i don't need to order replacement parts, just some glue and she is good to go. I too had the previous Shaman with no issue at all and it's one of my favorite. You can tell i lost some of my faith on this one Smile

Anyway, still looking forward to receiving the Witch Very Happy Very Happy . I saw some real photos and she's looking good.

Thanks ! Will do. The shop that i ordered from did sent me a small bottle of talcum powder, a pair of gloves and a small brush.

Hi all,
A question for those own the Martina figure (OSC-001):
Does the mask cause discoloration on the face/staining, if you keep on for an extended time?
Or since it's plastic and not silicon it is not an issue?

Many thanks!
