Brief Introduction
Otto Skorzeny, who commanded Operation Oak, was known as “The Most Dangerous Man in Europe”. His 1/6 action figure is available for pre-order now!

He is immortalized with a lifelike headsculpt featuring his distinctive honor that stretches from his chin to his ear across the left cheek, said to be a remnant of a fencing duel during his university days. His lightly furrowed brows, focused and alert eyes, tightly closed mouth, and the serious, tense expression speak volumes.

In line with Skorzeny’s height, we have specially lengthened the body of this 1/6 scale figure to make the figure more proportionate to the real person.

The clothing, tailored to fit the elongated body, includes a classic WWII German M36 uniform, a white collared shirt, and breeches, complemented by an officer’s visor cap or a German helmet, and black real-leather boots. He can also be outfitted in a German Luftwaffe tropical sand field tunic, matching tropical shirt and tropical pants, topped with a tropical side cap, and black real-leather short boots. All garments are meticulously crafted, allowing you to dress Skorzeny in different outfits according to various scenarios.

In terms of weaponry, Skorzeny comes with a P38 pistol in a genuine leather holster, as well as an MP40 submachine gun with five bullets. Ah, I was getting Otto confused with Janos Skorzeny, the vampire villain in the Kolchak the Night Stalker TV movie.

Nice detailing on his uniform and even the bottom of his boots.

The Tropical outfit this figure comes with, is based on the Gran Sasso raid, aka Unternehmen Eiche, where he, together with Paratroopers to free Mussolini from captivity.

Neat DiD set as always. They seem to be on a bit of a roll with scarred characters.

I ended up reading about Mussolini's arrest and imprisonment and the "daring escape" plan orchestrated by The Fuhrer and his top people. The historical side is interesting.

Some sources say that others were more instrumental in the rescue and escape, but the Reich propaganda machine created a "hero" out of Skorzeny.

Skorzeny survived the war, was acquitted of war crimes, moved to Spain, and managed to become quite wealthy as a "businessman." In his later years he lived part-time as a "gentleman farmer" in Ireland. He was a popular friend and guest of the rich and famous of the time.

Funny how, in the years immediately after the war, some high-profile Nazis became the toast of the glitterati. Decades later, when most of that generation had died off, the "Nazi hunters" were rounding up 90 year old guys who had been drafted at age 15 to serve as prison guards and putting them on trial for being "war criminals."

It's a cool looking figure, but it sent me down a twisted labyrinth of reading and thinking that left me feeling hopeless about society and humanity as a whole.
