I so need a Sun Wukong in my collection, but not clean and gold royal like this one. Also, the darker version looks like they just applied a filter to the regular photos.
I wish they did something more dirty, in the vein of the videogame that's coming this year. For once, I prefer they alternative headsculpts than the moveable eyes ones.

Can we all agree this is from the game then or has it been confirmed?

I hope so too urushi. That one looks pretty awesome. Reminds me a bit of Terada's vision of the monkey king. I've been a fan of a more gritty version of the monkey king vs the regal clean version myself.

I can see why something grittier might be welcome, and I realize versions of the character have been done before, but still kept thinking "this is awesome" while looking at every single photo. Also, being grateful that this is so far outside my scope that my wallet will be dodging another bullet.

hey, there's actually images from the game where the character is wearing very similar armour but not 100% the same, there's also an image with two portraits which actually look like a blackened version and the heaven version of these figures. Have a look:

This is beautiful!! What a great offering. I have no knowledge of the source material though so I am not biased.

I actually got that 1/12 Wukong a year or so ago. Haven't unpacked him, but I will, once I'm settled in to my new place. 

That'll do though. As magnificent as this is I don't need a 1/6 version as well.

Indeed, you are right. I think they tried to mix a little bit of everything between the "traditional" vision that, I guess, all chinese peole must know and the look from the game. I watched many gameplay videos on Youtube, and Wukong is like never wearing the armour.
