The American Civil War was the first "industrialized animal power" war, and the most significant event in the 19th century to mobilize animals and their working ability on a large scale. Industrialization created opportunities and means for the large-scale use of horsepower, and the technological complementarity of using horses before the war meant that the first industrialized war would also have a huge demand for horses. Just as the railways promoted the use of horses before the war, they also promoted the demand for horses during the war.

We specially equipped John Dunbar, a lieutenant of the Union Army in the American Civil War, with a brown warhorse (made of resin). The delicate carving and realistic coloring fully present the advantages of the warhorse.

This warhorse has a well-proportioned body and a strong body. The drooping eyes are shining with determination and wisdom, and the soft mane flutters in the wind. It is brave and good at fighting on the battlefield, and gentle and noble outside the battlefield. It has outstanding endurance, agility and speed, and can move quickly, react quickly and show off on the battlefield.

On its back, it is equipped with an exquisite leather saddle and horse belt, as well as a saddle pad and a leather saddle bag for storing supplies. The saddle pad is one of the essential equipment in the horse riding scene. Its main function is to increase the comfort between the rider and the horse and protect the horse's back, thereby improving the safety of riding. In addition, it is equipped with a dark blue blanket for warmth, a sundries bag for storing sundries, a cloth roll, an American Civil War flag, a kettle, and a leather gun bag for the M1860 Henry rifle. All of the above accessories can be hooked on the warhorse, so that Lieutenant Dunbar is ready to meet every war at any time!

This 1/6 brown warhorse presents the perfect combination of history and reality through meticulous craftsmanship and precise proportions, allowing us to feel the bravery and glory on the battlefield up close. It calls for everyone who loves history and heroic legends. It has a wild and free breath, spreads its four hooves, and rushes to the battlefield fearlessly like a sword off the string!

Note: The figure, saber, knife sheath and M1860 Henry rifle in the official picture are not included in E60076.

Nice. A release without the branding and very specific accessories at a lower price would have been cool. ^^

I’ll take it. It’ll go great with the Dunbar figure.

And I think it will go great with your old west figures too, Mark. I love him. Don't know how accurate he is (seems a tad small, but maybe he is supposed to be). Maybe one of our horse experts can chime in?

The first thing that struck me was the ears and how weirdly sculpted they are so I’m afraid that rather soured my whole view. 😂 Some of the musculature is a bit off as well, especially on the shoulder, fetlocks and face, and I’m never entirely sure why manufacturers keep choosing this colour for their horses because it isn’t really accurate. If you had a black mane and tail it would make a nice buckskin but with the lighter hair it just looks weird! I think it’d look fantastic in bay.

All that said, it’s actually not bad overall, and the cavalry tack looks surprisingly accurate which is a nice surprise!

Thank you for the evaluation, Christine!

Judging by what's being parted out on Monkey Depot (HERE), they seem to have given the horse a darker mane and tail, which ought to improve the look, going by Christine's remarks.
