I thought it would be good to start a thread to track the progress of the JazzInc. Dioramas 1/6th scale

Here is the first cast woman update, what do you think of these expressions for the mouth plates, and for the five different hands
as well as the boots? So we’re going for (from left to right) 1) whip holding/taser holding hand 2) flat hands (as in when she poses
in front of a shop window) 3) relaxed hands 4) finger pointing hand (this could
be a left hand and the right hand to this set could be the whip holding hand) 5) 'claws out' hands.

Jazz Inc. released a short video. The video contains footage showing the type of black shiny material Jazz Inc. might decide to use.
Everything is subject to change.

Looks good to me. I wonder how Jazz Inc. plan on adding the white stitching?
They could print the stitching on. It would be so much better if they used actual white stitching.

NOTE: The body using in the video is a Phicen TBLeague body. That's not to say the finnal product will use a Phicen TBLeague body, as Jazz Inc. plan on 'testing' other bodies by other companies.

I wonder if Jazz Inc. will end up using an off the shelf body? ..or have a custom shape made just for Catwoman?

What metal, who knows?
The metal used in the images above use steel (apparently).

If money was no object, i would use Titanium for its strength, light-weight. I can dream ;D

That last image of the claws is from Full Metal Customs, not JazzInc.. If I recall directly some of the conversations I’ve  seen, they don’t plan on using real metal.

HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT!!
I am teaming up with @jazzincdioramas to create the ultimate
licensed 1/6 scale Catwoman figure!!
There will be two figures: regular and Battle Damaged
Each head will have 3 different mouth plate expressions. Here is a
sneak peak at my progress so far (still a WIP and working on
tweaking the expressions)
This project really is a dream come true for me!
I originally made a custom figure of her years ago with my good
friend and mentor Rick Hurtt @warriors_gate_productions (RIP buddy)
@michellepfeifferofficial has already approved the likeness

The claws by FullMetal Customs were used as an example.
I recall Joost/Jazz Inc. mentioning wanting to use metal for the claws (if possible). They may well end up being plastic?

Personally i think Jazz Inc. should 3D model the claws using a computer.
Is it possible to make such small claws using metal from 3D data? ..i guess so,
as Hot Toys are able to make tiny metal components for their Ironman figures.

She's looking great. But I sincerely hope they include a non-masked neutral head version.

So far they have only shown renders.
They could print the sculpt out and pro paint it.
The main unanswered question is: how will the factory paint app work out?
Collectors will be expecting Hot Toys level work, myself included.
Exciting times!

However good the figure turns out, no doubt some will send their portraits off to be pro painted.

The hair should not pose much of an issue. Its not like it has to be rooted all over like an InArt piece.

I’d take the heads in 1, 2, and 4 images above.

Everyone has their own tastes, but the one where she sticks out her tongue and a bird comes out of her mouth, I don't really see the point.
The first, it's not a child making a face, and the second, how did the bird get there?

From what i can gather, there will be two different figures, and each will ship with a choice,
possibly 3, of mouth plates that can be switched-out.

There will be the option of purchases each figure separately, or purchasing both figures together at a discounted price.

The idea, which is just an idea, for the moment atleast, has been taken from the movie Batman Returns.
If Jazz Inc. do decided to include the open mouth with tongue/bird, the idea will be for the tongue and bird to be switch-outs.

Thanks for showing, great pictures. I love more facial expressions on 1:6 sculpts.
unfortunately the head will be made with the mask on, I think. So only a representation as a cat woman is possible.

Wow! These look so amazing! Yes, I also wish they'd release this head without mask, but the swappable mouth plates would only work with mask. I really like all of the growls/snarls/etc. Very cool. 

Sadly Catwoman doesn't really fit my collection criteria. It's only the collector in me that doesn't want to miss out on such a beautiful sculpt! The test will come when we finally get to see how it all turns out printed/painted.

I guess that confirms it. FullMetalCustoms will be working on the metal claws for Catwoman.
Will FullMetalCustoms be making 'all' the claws, or will they create a single set of claws for the factory to replicate?

Yikes. That also just means that the price for these will be crazy insane.

Joost has implied that getting figures made is no where was costly as getting vehicles made.
Joost has touted a price for the figures during various live chats. I think (don't quote me on this) but i think $300 or $350 is the price they are aiming for. A deal will be offered if both figures are purchased at the same time.

My guess is, a factory will be used to make the metal claws. Quite how the factory claws will compare to the FullMetalCustoms claws remains to be seen.

To be honest, i am not sure what to make of the claws, as they look very chunky.

Viola is starting on the first test paint of the first relaxed neutral head
sculpt. Look at the typical Michelle Pfeiffer mouth and those typical eyes!

The 3 images represent the 1st time JazzInc have release shots of an actual printed Catwoman head sculpt.

The paint work is going to make or break the sculpt. It’s too early to be able to see Michelle in the sculpt for me.

Without wishing to sound too hard, for the moment, the project feels like a high end kit-bash, with very good intentions.
It will amount to good fun seeing how the prototype turns out. I imagine it will turn out very good.
It will be even more interesting to see how the factory replicates what it has to work with.
