Well due to the rising costs of 1/6 and the delays, I actually thought I'd take a lot at the GI Joe Classified figures. I have to say I am really impressed! I know I'm a couple years late but i thought I would try to collect ones which I loved as a kid. So far, I've managed to pick up Hawk, Outback, Recondo, Torpedo, Tiger Force Duke with bike (only as was £20 haha), Cobra EEL and Firefly. I have a Cobra Officer en route. All of these still cost me less than half of a Hot Toys or DAM figure and I preordered the Stinger jeep and driver.

Anyhow here are some pics. 1/6 will always be my main but whilst I cannot afford any of them anymore thought I would do this and might also expand to the Star Wars Black Series too.

I'm not a fan of Gi Joe, your collection is nice.
Plus if you want to make dioramas, it's easier at this scale, especially for the costs

thanks - I just realised I used the most blurred photos going too! I didn't have my glasses on haha. Yes, dioramas are so much easier at this scale both size and costs!

I think I will delve to SW too, and get ones again, of those I really love and have seen so many cool dioramas for that scale of them too

Nice collection!

This line draws me with vehicles - I've got the Stinger recently and it works great with any 1/12 scale figures.

There is also a "middle ground" of sorts in Mezco GI Joe figures: not as expensive as 1/6 but with soft goods and more accessories.

Thanks! Yeah I have pre-ordered the Stinger when it comes out. I have seen the Vamp that looks great too. Have you seen Haslabs as they are making the Rattler A-10!! IT looks amazing...light up panels in the cockpit etc.

I haven't seen those....I will take a look. I still have a lot to collet, as I loved most of the ones when I was a kid, so would love as many as I can as well as small army building Vipers and Cobra Troopers/Officers haha

Yeah, it's impressive, but so is the price, and the space needed for it...

My acquaintance with G. I. Joe stuff is passing at best, but this is shaping up to be a very nice collection (I imagine it is very selective, but you could have a lot of fun displaying -- or even playing with -- this bunch).

Actually, I just repainted a 1/6-scale G. I. Joe head for something I'm about to post.

haha very true, although it is still just the price of a Hot Toys figure - so in theory for the same price you get a vehicle with features. Although yes, the space needed! I would love the Dragonfly helicopter they made too

Thanks, yes, it is very selective, but I will get more. I only started collecting these about 4 weeks ago haha. I might try to make up some dioramas in this scale. I have some 1/6 buildings which take up half my garage lol. So this scale it would be a lot better. Plus as you say, these can be played with, although a bit too old to be sat in my garden playing GI Joe, it will not stop me hahah.

oh that sounds intriguing
