Is this based on something? The face is pretty (at least the one without the runny mascara); but I really dig that creepy teddy bear.

I know nothing about Tomie. Being a fan of horror, recently i pre_ordered the Tomie blu-ray.
Soon i will be slightly more educated when it comes to Tomie.

Seeing the figure holding chains, took me back to one of the characters from Kill Bill.

The figure looks decent enough.

Edit: The hands look very plastic! too plastic!

The Teddie Bear is great. I like the regular face -- she would make a great normal high school character, setting aside all the horror and sexualization. But I suppose these are part and parcel of the source, so they would appeal to its fans.

This figure isn't sexualized at all. She's wearing a typical JK uniform.

Yeah, the schoolgirl from Kill Bill was my first thought too.

I think I wanna get rid of the bear and replace it with a wrecking ball. Also give her a couple of samurai swords and she can be a vampire hunting schoolgirl.

yeah this is definitely the manga version and not live action version.
nice looking set, i like the buttons on her jacket, nice touch .

I wish the head(s) were sold separately, the sculpt is very pretty.

I'm still waiting for that two-face Tomie headsculpt I POed like months ago. Wondering if it will ever see the light of the day.

Knowing nothing about Tomie, tonight i checked out the movie from 1998
Part of me expected to witness a crazy horror movie. Tomie offers nothing of the sort.
The story came across like a slow going detective crime story.
Who is Tomie? ..will she ever be found? Detective (i forget his name) is on the hunt!
Tomie is well made, well acted, if slightly dull at times.
6.2/10

Compared to the figure, the female in the movie also has a spot below her eye.
The lines running down the face do not appear during the 1998 movie.
Apparently, there are more follow up movies. They may be worth checking out.

theres LOADS of tomie movies to go at, if im honest not one of the better franchises.
one movie that stood out to me back in the day when i got it on vhs was evil dead trap. saying that i havent seen it in well over 20 years, so it might not hold up that well, but i remember it being quite bizarre and well made for the time

I have watched Evil Dead Trap (1988). Having only watched it once, i cannot recall much about it.
Is thre a connect between Evil Dead Trap and Tomie?
