Oh. My. God! I love this. Thanks for sharing (and the well-wishes). You rock, Ephi!. I need to do this so badly. You must explain how you did the tentacles (and I'm assuming the color is the oil pastels). Man, I wish I could get the hang of that. I have a Twi'lek HS from the Aurra Sing figure that I was planning to turn into Oola (despite already having slave Leia -- a Hutt can never have enough pretty slave girls).

Impressive... very impressive. I know the secret to painting the body already (thanks again), but the outfit and especially the poseable head-tentacles or whatever you want to call them look like another one of your breakthrough inventions.

Thanks, Stryker and Gubernator. The Lekku ( TM )are made in that way the cosplayer did it i think. I use very fine deer leather that for. Inside there´s a fat soft 3mm wire. So the Lekku are movable. I sew them fill them with absorbent cotton and insert the wire in the middle of each one.The colour for the body is oil pastel again, true. I like to do the bash now, not in some months. The only i had in spare was one of the Teenager Bodys, so i made a very Young Twi´lek  Laughing That´s why i made the Lekku short. Think they are longer at adult Twi´lek.... ?

Really cool. Did you have to use some sort of industrial adhesive to get the lekku to stick to the head? Man, I so need to try this. I imagine working with that fishnet material must have been a challenge.

I drill 3mm holes in the Head and use glue on the end of the wire before i insert it inside. I´m not happy with the fishnet. It is to large-meshed. But i want to finish the figure now. You Guys know, if you like to do it perfect, You never finish a bash and it ends inside the big " Never finished Bashes Box " we all have Laughing
I use instant glue, if i have to use glue

Aww, she looks great! Excellent job, and very creative solutions as always! And I agree that younger Twi'leks would have shorter lekku, so that's an incredibly thoughtful detail! Smile

Thanks for sharing the pics, your work is always very inspirational. I have many SW aliens planned for a long time now... only hope I can do them justice... : )

If you’re not happy with the mesh, you might want to try looking for this type:

Well, it worked for the Material Girl, so why not for Oola Jr? Smile I actually didn't think the mesh was too bad, although I can see why Ephiane would prefer a smaller one.

Thanks, Grub. Here You can see she is really a Girl. I made the Body shorter, for another Project, before use her as a Twi´lek.

At last, i think my way to build the Lekku is very complicate. Better way could be to use the rubber of a party ballon that for. Or the best way is to sculpt them, made a casting mold with that and use latex or silicone inside ? You can drill a wire inside silicone too

I think your way of making the lekku is very clever -- it's always interesting to adapt cosplaying techniques to 1/6 scale! But of course, there are many additional ways to try it as well, and those are some good suggestions. Yours turned out great the way it is, though! Smile

I think you're right, Ephi. This is the fishnet that I bought through the link I posted, and I do believe it is the same size as yours -- I wonder if just regular pantyhose material would work for 1/6 fishnet:

Good looking figure. I am assuming Star Wars? Return of the Jedi. I can't recall.

On the subject of 'Box' i thought it would be interesting to see photo's featuring a pile of leftovers, unused parts, unused from past projects, including all the extra's from, for example, Hot Toys figures, would be prohibited. Then i got thinking of the idea, coming up with a character built from unused parts to create something bizarre.

Very cool and great job on the Lek'ku and how you put it together too, I once considered making a twi'lek but I couldn't figure out how to make them (I might try between next month and the next 20 years Twi´lek Dancer 1f606 ) I don't know if you could find it over there but a mosquito net for a bed could also work, it's generally a much more thin webbing, finding it in black is probably the hardest part.

I found black mosquito netting on Amazon. There are individual “head” nets that seem to be the cheapest option.
