I'm impressed by how much history you know. Very interesting.
Now back to my level: Anybody else seeing The Rock in that face? Smile

No! Smile

There was a now abandoned fanciful notion that their name has something to do with the Cymry, i.e., the Celts of Wales and western Britain. Howard's Conan has a Celtic name (also Cynan, etc.). On the other hand, his sky god bears a resemblance to the deification of heaven among Turkic nomads (Tengri) and the settled Chinese (Tian) alike. But the name Crom is said to derive from that of the Bulgar king Krum (also reference by Harry Potter's Viktor Krum). So it's very much a mish-mash... and, of course, fantasy.

Another little tidbit from Howard’s universe: Cimmerians are supposed to be the descendants of Atlantis — which reverted back to a state of near Neanderthal-like savages after the continent/island was consumed, then evolved into the Cimmerians.

No. Like others, I see more Donnie Yen than anyone.

Maybe a little bit, but if so they tried to disguise his features with the shapes of the eyes and eyebrows.

Certainly no more far-fetched than the plot of Stargate-Atlantis! Smile It would explain why Conan has an Atlantean sword -- which he found in a tomb...

With his helmet on I think the HS looks very good.

its Donnie Yen's face.. hence the complaint and speculation of "Why an Asian head on a Barbarian body"? Surprised

This one is being parted out on Evil-bay now, so if you are looking forward to this figure or kit-bashing material, it's on its way.

Yesh, got my hands on the helmet.

Somehow I wassurpsrised this one comes with a seamless body, because of that CMToys Barbarian, but then I remembered that this one is TBLeague after all...

It is interesting that CMToys (which is Coomodel) uses Plastic bodies but often diecast metal armor parts and TBleague uses its cool seamless bodies but plastic armor. I'm a fan of diecast metal stuff, even if I know, some of it is far too heavy and makes posing harder. Razz

Oh boy, another released figure stuck on KGH for lack of shipping method to my country.

Each day I learn to love this pandemic more and more. Mad

which country is that? Don't you have other seller to buy from, besides KGH?

I live in Brazil. At the time I PO'd this figure, I was hoping the KGH's shipping situation would be normalized before the release, since some stores like GianToy and OSK were shipping. They offered another shipping method, by DHL, but it was too expensive.

LOL, maybe it was an attempt at shrunken heads, only they didn't realize that usually the skull is removed prior sthrinking.....

Or, he's a Jotun, and he's just killing regular-sized dudes. ;p

Ignoring current 'official' Star Wars content for my own sanity.

Shrunken heads, surely. Or they think skulls are really that much smaller than complete heads... There was enough here I liked, including the tattoo on the body, that I actually pre-ordered the set instead of getting a bunch of parted-out pieces.
