Classic! The coffin and headstone are a nice touch and the headsculpt looks pretty good.

The prototype does look good. Too bad the only way to get the tombstone base is through their website — the shipping will be ridiculous (the exclusive is almost $400 + shipping). I’m also concerned about the finished paint job. Their John Wayne didn’t turn out so good.

I love this figure even though i have no love for any of the classic monsters tbh.
I do think its a good likeness.
The thing i find puzzling is the base / coffin. Why do they not integrate at all? Why not make a base the coffin could at least fit on?

I came to the conclusion that it's the kind of paint they're using, combined with their official photographer.

The promo shots for Lugosi were a real mixed bag, with some shots making the sculpt look hard and shiny, the way old Sideshow heads sometimes appeared. Whereas other shots were a lot better. I imagine these heads aren't as easy to capture as a Hot Toys sculpt, for example, where you can virtually just point and click.

I thought Lugosi looked better behind glass in the short video from the Lucca Comics show:

John Wayne also looked better there too. I've pre-ordered the standard versions of both him and Lugosi.

Clouseau also looked better in later photos, so I'm hoping these will be figures that will be better appreciated in hand.

Kit has the two available versions up at a good price. They're cheaper than KP's base prices, and I think they'll also add shipping to that as well.

I like it, but given the particular artists and studios involved, I have no doubt that it's completely out of my price range.

ETA: That reminds me --- is it permissable to share individual 1/6 artists' projects in this section? I mean, say there's an artist on FB who is doing a limited run of figures, would that be permitted in the 'New Product Announcment' category, or should we just share it in the general section?

I like it, although I have no vested interest, as I have neither watched the movie (I know it is a classic), nor am really into the vampire genre (recent acquisitions and postings to the contrary).

Sky, if it is something that will be available for sale (even if a very limited run), I don't really see why not. If there is a reason why not, I'm sure my fellow moderators will bring it up.

S., I don’t see an issue posting custom, limited run figures here, either. Easily half the stuff posted is bootleg stuff, so unlicensed custom projects is not a big deal to me — especially since we don’t have advertisers, or sponsors.

It's a beautiful looking figure! I would get it, but I've just moved, and money is not disposable right now, so I'll just have to live vicariously through my fellow collectors!

Well, I POd the Deluxe. While Dracula (at least this version) was never my favorite of the classic Universal Monsters, I still want to support anything that can bring back childhood memories. Plus, that coffin is wicked cool. I weighed the cost analysis to anything Hot Toys is doing and the fact this comes with two head sculpts and a coffin for basically only $60 more than a bare-bones figure, just screamed this wasn’t such a bad deal.

Nice one! I'll have to live vicariously through others buying these kinds of figures. Someday I'll try to start my own horror collection, but likely that won't be for a while. ;p

Oh yes, this coffin is completely sculpted and detailed.

This looks good. The coffin looks very good!

I have been watching video's on YouTube covering SDCC 2022
I spotted a couple of new figures coming soon from Kaustic Plastik which will no doubt feature here soon.

The figures include:
Kaustic Plastik - The Fonz from Happy Days with jukebox (jukebox might a deluxe edition?)
Kaustic Plastik - Dale Cooper from Twin Peaks with Laura Palmer (Laura Palmer might be a deluxe edition?)
Kaustic Plastik - Nosferatu. I am not sure if this is movie based, as he looks slightly different to the movie actor.

I saw some pretty good pics of Nosferatu, and it looks like the old B&W movie to me. I would have gotten the John Wayne, but the final product is a bit of a disappointment. The prototype for The Fonz looks okay. I was never a TP fan, so those two are an easy pass.

Are you maybe thinking of Klaus Kinski in the 1979 remake? Kaustic Plastik is making Nosferatu from the 1922 original, Max Schreck, and allowing for old film quality, he looks dead on (forgive the pun) to me. Mezco recently did a terrific 1/12 version, though theirs is more of an artistic interpretation.

Having watched some YouTube videos, Inspector Clouseau appears to have turned out pretty good.

The Nosferatu i am thinking of is this one:

A Klaus Kinski Nosferatu would be great!

The Kaustic Plastik Nosferatu looks very good. I feel maybe the portrait should be longer?
I might have to pick this up to add to my slow growing 1/6th scale horror line Very Happy

Yes, we're talking about the same thing (1922 Max Schreck).  Allowing for the angles and the diffusiveness of the old bw film stock, the likeness looks good to me.   You may be right that Schreck's face was a touch more elongated but it's hard to tell.  A Klaus Kinski Nosferatu would indeed be great, or also, a Nosferatu Willem Dafoe playing Max Schreck (Shadow of the Vampire).

The Mezco version was more fanciful, bonier and rat like, with black rat eyes that wouldn't have been possible in 1922 make-up.

The Mezco version looks cool for some of the elements, but yeah… it didn’t look much like Max.
