Some nice accessories (like the rocket launcher); and that has to be the best Luke Evans head sculpt to date (even better than Asmus' Bard).

Wow beautiful stuff, these Russians never cease to amaze.

Great looking head like all damtoys (still wonder why they don't sell head seperately and make a fortune of it), although they could go with less Western Hollywoodesque stars and make more 'real' Russian looking Russians for a change.

Question for those who know...is this newer, or older Russian stuff? I'd want to get it, but I don't know what's current.

It says 'Russian Federation' (not soviet union)
and Grozny (main conflict was in 1994/95)

So it should be that time?

This figure is actually from the Second Battle of Grozny. Yes there where 2 wars in Chechnya, the first from 1994 - 1996 that ended with the Moscow Accords. Then there was a second war, from 1999 to 2009 and this figure looks like from the Second War. Grozny was seized in the second war after a year long siege, but fighting continued for years.

Simple rule of thumb.

Get it if it looks cool and worthwhile to you (provided you can afford it).

Don't always be overly hamstrung about accuracy, details, etc.

DAMTOYS have a very reliable track record for accuracy, details, and quality. It's not like they're going to deliberately mislead collectors.
