Love this figure. I watched the Instagram unboxing post where Stallone did the unboxing of it. Best Rambo so far

Some on Instagram posted the question:
'Any idea when the Rambo figure will be release for shipping?'

slystalloneshop replied:
'we expect our Rambo figure to be shipping in either late September or October. Thank you'

They also shared another image of the follow up figure COBRA

By the looks of things, the eye's are being kept under wraps.
Even if they get the eye's slightly wrong, they can always be covered with shades.

I saw this earlier. It certainly does look really nicely done. I need to pre-order the Rambo too. Get paid next week so will do it then. Looks awesome

I think i am up for a Cobra figure also. I wonder if they will add the option to add a match to his mouth? ..as that was Cobra's thing/look

It is looking good. I am going to need to get an order in. They’ve been saying for ages they’re on their last few. I’m waiting for my ThreeZero First Blood to arrive next week

I wouldn't be in a rush to order one of these. Here's a couple pics from a review that went up a week or so ago.

I saw the review and I saw another who stated it was the best likeness they’d seen. Personally I really like the sculpt. The lips could do. With repaint but I really like it. The Cobra looks superb too

Looks ok to me. It is probably a mobile phone image. Those can never be trusted.

I had to search a bit, but here is the comparison pic that was posted on the collectorsfreaks recently. Threezero and Stallone's versions side by side...

Yeah, the Stallone Shop version isn’t good. If it was the only game in town, that would be one thing, but Threezero beats it hands down.

I prefer the portrait on the right side, as it looks more like Stallone from First Blood, which it is supposed to represent.
The eye's on the portrait on the left side lack in Stallone droopiness.

Got my Three Zero one. It’s good, but I’m not overawed with the sculpt.

Hmm, I can see why you'd think the one on the right is more accurate portrait, but I think the other portrait isn't too bad, it just has an overly simplistic paint job. With a custom paintjob, the one on the left could be made a little more accurate, too.

That said, the ThreeZero heads do seem to have quite poor hair sculpting. My Daryl Dixon is very similar, with the 'noodle' hair strands. However, I hope someday to re-hair mine with lamb hair, so it's not a huge deal for me personally. The bigger issue I have with my ThreeZero figure is the horrible wrist joints on it, which detract from the realism.

Is the figure available exclusively from The Stallone Shop?

https://www.slystalloneshop.com/collections/action-figures/products/john-james-rambo-sixth-scale-figure-first-blood-series

$260 USD. The site still indicates "pre-order" status.

I am not aware of anyone else selling the figure. It makes sense to assume it is a The Stallone Shop exclussive.
As far as i am aware, the figure should start shipping towards the end of November 2022 Smile

This figure has started to ship..
I guess the YouTube videos will start to appear soon.
Justin's Collection and Dean Knight 333 reviewed the figure some time ago, but they doubt received early high end samples. The real proof of how the figure turned out will be in the reviews due soon. Assuming reviews show up, which i think they will.

I like to think the figure has turned out well. If it does meet expectations, then i'm up for the Cobra figure.

John James Rambo 1/6 scale figure by Sly Stallone Shop

The figure arrived today Smile
For whatever reason, i have been looking forward to getting this figure in probably more so than any other figure i received during 2022. The slow shipping method caused the figure to arrive in 2023 even although the figure shipped at the beginning of December 2022

I took these photo's tonight. In the future the plan is to shoot some outside daylight pic's.

First impressions, the figure does not disappoint. I'd say the portrait has been painted to the same level as a Hot Toys portrait.
The green jacket, red t-shirt, blue Demin jeans all look great. The arm-dog-tags are made of metal.
John's sleeping bag looks suitable weathered.
The only weapon John ships with is his Rambo knife.
8 hands in total are included, which allows for various possibilities.

The base, i like the base. The base has weight to it, and the tarmac road finish and metal drain lid work well.

The box looks great. It is by no means Hot Toys level. It reminds me more of a type of quality a Sideshow Collectibles 1/6th figure ships in, all be it wider.

All in all i am a very happy collector. I will be placing a pre_order for the Sly Stallone Shop next offering, which is Cobra

If i wanted to b hyper picky and mention some negatives they might include:

Elbows appear to be single jointed. Which means the pose holding the sleeping bag (as pictured) is not possible.

John's ankles do not feel super tight. Given the figure is quite weighty, i though they would have include tighter ankle joints. Posing John without the base support is probably not a good idea.

John's brown leather boots. On the plus side, they feature real laces. Boot left and right boots look identical, and lack a left and right look to them, making them look neither left or right fit. I am probably sounding too picky here.

It looks pretty good, glad you are happy with it.

It's understandable to want safer posing abilities. If you feel aventurous, you could try swapping the figure onto a body with better articulation. I understand that's not always easy to do, but it can sometimes be worth it for better posing.
