There are quite a few tutorials on YouTube that show how different artists do it.

I agree with Ian, Ani doesn’t look that bad. And that Padme sculpt looks excellent.

So it's like the face are always a bit stained. He just start covering the resin with a layer of Vallejo skin color...thinking spraying a primer would produce the same results.

The fine details on the newly printed Padme-head are really fantastic. It seems your investment in a new 3D-printer was a complete success.  MY LATEST 1/6 HEADS SCULPTS - Page 7 1f44d

Hi guys,
As some of you was wondering I am working on bald Padmé.
It is just a quick print test I made yesterday night to check the proportion of the head.
I'll add more skin details and maybe some pointy growing hair in case someone wanted to use it as Evey of V for vendetta.
It was something I was thinking to do already as I already sculpted V in the past.

As I sculpted already V I have the mask, the buckle of the belt, the daggers ready :-)
It was 1 of the first 3d sculptures that I made, so not perfect (as you see I made the head too big for that body  MY LATEST 1/6 HEADS SCULPTS - Page 7 1f605 ) but still, the mask, belt buckle and daggers might be useful as they are separated pieces.

Shouldn't be difficult to make a V character.MY LATEST 1/6 HEADS SCULPTS - Page 7 27926810

The scale on Padme looks good to me. Is it on one of the smaller bodies?

Hi there!
I'm quite new to 1/6 collection, as I said I was focused on 1/4.
So I am buying bodies and and learning on the go.
I'd like to have already seamless ones but they are a bit more expensive so I started with these cheaper ones.
Padmé at the moment has this body, but I ordered one with smaller breasts.
I really don't like a lot of things in this body. The bust is in a soft vinyl
which is ok but kind of makes wrinkles depending on how I fold the legs. And the hands are too small in my opinion and veer difficult to change or even to insert (even with hairdryer) and the pegs are too delicate.+
Without leg extension the body from neck to feet is about 24,5 cm
In my opinion is a bit too tall considering that Natalie is about 162 cm tall. But not too bad.

Now I am waiting for this one to arrive.
It's ugly but at least the breasts are more adequate.

If you are looking for a body that is a bit cheaper than the seamless ones, I suggest the PopToys Xing body. It is also one of the shorter bodies out there, so it should be close to the correct height for Padme. I'm using it for at least one of my Padme figures. It also comes in small or medium bust version which is more appropriate for her. I haven't been able to take a photo of my Padme figure with this body yet, since it's not finished, but here's a link to some:

That's looking good! Just be aware the Sideshow figure is a little on the larger side, in that it is a bit bigger than the Hot Toys one. It doesn't affect your custom figure, but just something to bear in mind for if you were going to be casting the head later to sell.  : )

What advice do you need about the hair? For materials I usually go with tibetan lamb's hair, it is great for the scale. You can purchase it on Etsy or ebay, and there are also some craft supply shops online that sell it.  I just glue directly to the scalp, but the scalp probably needs to be prepped a bit first (sanded? painted?).... and you need to find a suitable glue that will stick to resin.

Here's a tutorial for adding lamb's hair to a bald doll head:

Yes it's in fact a very larger size compared to the ones I printed before for HT bodies. And still smaller than the huge one they made (Sideshow)...
I don't know what they were thinking when they produced it. Their Anakin seems short like he was 165 cm instead of 184 tall
